Agreed, Richie, it’s about time his clients realized he’s playing not only with their careers, but also their lives. I think Boras is truly one of those people with no scruples or ethics, and he is not worth the extra couple MM he’s going to try and get for you.

Georgie,with other teams already in spring training,it has to kill Manny that he’s not playing.
As for Boras,I think he has no problem waiting.
But I hope Manny pull an A-Rod and goes against Boras .I bet Madson did the same thing earlier this year.

Manny is looking for 4/$100 million.He is most likely waiting and hoping for a Carlos Beltran,Shane Victorino,or any high impact outfielder to go down with a debilitating and career threatening injury so the GM involved will cave in and in desparation will go sign Manny for what he wants….a Kings Ransom.

Miner, I hear ya. When the Vet went down it was bittersweet. She was past her prime, rat-infested, cat-infested, and who knows what else, but there were some great memories that made me shed a few tears for her when she was brought down. Same goes for the Spectrum, I sort of wish they could just refurbish it, but, she’s coming down too.

Off the subject….lets hear it.Now I can officially call Shea Stadium a scrap heap.As of yesterday morning,the last section of Shea came down and Shea is no longer.Now we have our NEW home in CitiField.Albiet Shea will have lasting memories including the last and greatest visit (Billy Joel double play at Shea) the old girl will be missed.It wasn’t pretty , had a fitting funeral at the end and of course 2 GREAT championship parties at the end of 1969 and 1986,but it was home and home is where you hang your hat.

It would be nice to see them add another arm out of the pen, but, I’m ok with what they have entering the season. My only concern is, if Park wins the 5th spot in the rotation, who is our long arm in the pen? Please don’t say Happ, because I think that would mess the kid up.

If I remember correctly, Phillies’ front office have indicated recently that they are done with off season aquisitions for pitching and are satisfied with what they have. So disregard the latest rumor that Tim provided in his blog.

all three of them at this point will sign for cheap they’re teamless going into spring training and losing time to join a squad. I think if they can sign Beimel or Ohman once Romero comes back and he proves he’s the same pitcher we’ve always seen then it gives us a bargaining chip come July 31st we have a lefty to deal for something that we may need come the deadline. Lefty relievers always have a market.
