I know that I sound like a broken record but I'm really excited about Ibanez. I think that this could work out really well. Regardless, he's certainly an upgrade. How I would handle this... Werth bats 5th against lefties and Ibanez bats 5th against righties... give them both ample opportunities in the 5 hole and let's not worry about bullpen situations; let's get their starters out of the game early. Werth kills lefties but is not as solid against righties. Ibanez kills righties. It's a really nice fit.

IBANEZ=RBI Machine… I know that I sound like a broken record but I’m really excited about Ibanez. Was it the busy news day, or the late game?

This game really got skipped over. The bullpen was great; Taschner pitched a scoreless inning. Lidge struck out 2 in 1.0 inning.I really like Ibañez behind Howard. He's an RBI machine and will put the ball in play if the big man strikes out or homers. I also like Werth when he bats as No.2 in the lineup

Ibañez was sick today! The bullpen was great; Taschner pitched a scoreless inning.
