I’m with Don M, you can’t get anything for him right now. If Colorado would take him for Jeff Baker, then the Phillies could pick him up if they’re not convinced of John Mayberry Jr.

Kendrick should have been traded before the ’08 season after his ’07 fluke. Hindsight is 20/20.

Kendrick can’t get any worse… and since the only thing he could do would be improve, why trade him now?

You won’t get anything in return for him.

We’ve seen him be effective, there’s talent there. During this first season when he was unknown and so was his stuff, he induced a lot of ground balls and it upped his confidence. When he’s sure of his stuff he gets more aggressive and does pretty well.

But there lies his greatest flaw, which is that when the pressure mounts, he can’t keep his cool. Granted he’s a vet, there are those games when Jamie’s stuff just isn’t happening and by the 2nd inning hitters are peppering the field with his low speed pitches. There isn’t a OUNCE of that reflected in Moyer’s face, he is a rock the entire time, even though he knows Durbin is probably warming up.

Kendrick on the other hand disintegrates. The way this comes out is he nibbles instead of attacking, and his slider starts coming up in the zone, and his fastballs float out there like fat meatballs. In the past he made some incredible recoveries after getting into nasty jams, but it always seemed like he was majorly relived to have skated by, instead of confident he could fight out of the mess.

Kyle is suffering from a crisis of confidence, just like our financial system !

Yeah Manny, that’s just what came out of my mouth when I read this. The poor guy always looks so confused/clueless when he’s asked questions, maybe he’s just shy, maybe being a starter in the majors is just not his forte, at this point it’s hard to say, but I’ll stick to my guns-he needs a COMPLETE change of venue.
