David Murphy reports the Phillies have acquired minor league reliever Manny Ayala from the Padres.

It wasn’t a trade Ed…I like this pick up. He’s young, and can possibly develop into a decent pitcher. I’m sure they didn’t spend alot to aquire him.

Yeah I like this move,
Lehigh needs to NOT suck this year. We have way too much talent down there. They have a nice rotation and decent bullpen, along with some good position players

decent depth move. AAA has a glut of reliever so I wouldn’t be surprised if he saw some time at AA.
