The Phillies received word they will meet President Barack Obama Tuesday at the White House. It’s customary for a World Series champion to meet the president the year following their championship victory.

Guys, seriously, no need to panic. As far as the White House thing goes, it’s customary to do this, it’s no big deal. I think it’s great, especially for Rollins who did a campaign event for him.

I wonder if Obama will use his teleprompter to greet the Phils.

Maybe Obama will tell the Phils that he is disappointed in their lackluster start and expects much greater things from them. That would win my vote !!!

No doubt the the Phillies are looking forward to this great honor of meeting President Obama. This week’s events including today’s ceremony of receiving their World Series Championship rings is something that these players will never forget.

so, under obama’s (socialism) plan, are we all going to share wins? i mean, is he gonna take a win from the braves and give it to us despite the fact that the braves earned it?

hey, maybe he will try and talk them into giving back their bonuses for winning the world series. then can tell them how patriotic it is to pay taxes.

Yes because of you dont like paying taxes and if you dont like the bankers stealing more than our entire GDP’s worth of bailout money – in 6 months – then thats unamerican….
at least we still have baseball…for now.

I cant stand any of the figureheads in politics, theyre really just meant to distract us while the bankers steal all of our money and the nations wealth. Because all of a sudden America is a post-industrial near-third world country with NO productive capacity, no wealth, and no jobs being created.
thats happened over the past 30-40 years but its happened slowly, though it accelerated over the past 13 years since NAFTA. and all of these presidents have been in favor of it and have expanded it – and all that has done is erode our ability to be a first world nation.
now we dont make anything and our money is becoming more worthless everyday…this is why I ENJOY baseball so much.
who knows, maybe if the phillies dont play well obama will arbitrarily replace the general manager and the manager with his ever-growing unilateral executive authority…

Maybe he will give the Phils hope and change and then all will be wonderful as it is now, will be, forever, without end, amen.
