Even with our discussions, I still don’t understand HOW Jenkins was released and they kept Cairo. Even needing a right handed bat, why Cairo?

People obviously dont see that calling up a prospect and sitting him on the bench doesnt help them. They have bruntlett thats a utility player us dobbs who can play the corners. Donald would never see the field

That is such a ridiculous statement… Donald is definitely not coming up… He is not exactly doing well down in AAA which means he won’t be effective against MLB pitching. He needs more time in the minors to work on his swing and not be in the majors sitting on the pine, that will just slow his progress. Also he is not playing 3B regularly meaning he wouldn’t fill in for Pete Happy well and could only play SS which Brunlett could do.

We do not need another INF on the bench, we have Brunlett who can play basically any position on the field. We have Dobbs who can fill in 1B and 3B if needed. Therefore we should bring up the best bat or add an arm to the pen for this long road trip.

Also Stutes and Carrassco and all the other young prospects you like to throw out are no where near ready for their MLB debut.

I would think Jason Donald sounds more logical than Mayberry and agree with Michael N. Donald can fill in nicely not only for feliz but may be able to start some games now that JRoll is looking like a lost puppy out there.

Yeah I called this last night, Glad it is not Kendrick, I would of rather seen someone like Stutes, given a shot, Carpenter I don’t think will ever be a rotation guy in the bigs at least a regular one

As long as Cairo is gone im happy i think they might calll up Mayberry or Donald. More likely Donald because he is a infielder. Because i don’t think Carpenter would stay plus its a good move to keep Kendrick down don’t wanna keep yoyo-ing him around.

Carrasco has had 4 bad outings now is probably not the time for the promotion. Carrasco is likely pitching Sunday in LHV because if Kendrick pitches today, and Justin Lehr pitched yesterday, he has to be next. Carpenter though I have to give him a lot of credit he must have worked hard on refocusing this offseason because he has looked 100x better than he was last year.

Happ should be worked into the rotation, its too bad they didn’t make a move yesterday for another bullpen pitcher. He’s just eaten up innings in the pen this year and has done a great job of it. I wasn’t sure of him as a starter over Park when the season started, but he looks like he could start ahead of everyone but Myers and Hamels.

It’s too bad, I’m going to tonight’s game (as long as it doesn’t get rained out) and was hoping to see JA in action. I don’t know much about Andrew Carpenter, but I guess it’ll be interesting to see him in action. I’m wondering why they didn’t go to Carrasco, unless maybe he just recently had a start.

Well this is probably a better team than any to make your first ML start against…especially if Dukes is hurt. If he brings his stuff he could come out with a boatload of confidence.

can you think of a better time to see where Kendrick is in his development than a makeup game tahat falls on his day to pitch. i say pitch him he deserves it more than carpenter does.

The extra inning game has caused utter disorder on plans for tomorrow’s doubleheader. The bullpen is going to be at least one man short (Happ pitched 2 innings tonight). A curious choice of calling up Carpenter over Kendrick for emergency fill in as starter for tomorrow. Perhaps in fairness to Kendrick, they don’t want to call him up for just one start as is the situation for Carpenter. Their original plan/goal is when Kendrick is ready to help the team when needed then he will join the team TO STAY.

That’s right Justin. On Aug. 27th of last year he pitched 1 inning against the Mets. He allowed no runs and one hit. It’s a curious choice when Kyle Kendrick is available. Or maybe not if Kyle had most recently put in a start fior Lehigh Valley.
