The Little Guy if I am a old man just shows how you were raised to be an disrespect little runt, if you don’t like a post answer it with some class. if you are sick of people . How do you think we feel listening to your stupid post , but we listen. the younger generation has no class and you prove it. thank god not everyone is as disrepectfully to people as you are. The thing I have notice is when a younger person can’t win they will say . your grammer is bad, or your old, imazing how they react when they can’t win a argument. I have really look at this kid Cain, his hits per innings , quality starts, are really really good. I think on our team he is a two, so its werth. donald, Worley as my first offer, and if necessary marson and they throw in a low level a player.

As I said yesterday,We have to be patient with Blanton and Moyer.
And even if WE ARE NOT PATIENT,Charlie is……..So it doesnt matter what we think.
Its Lidge that is the concern….at least in my opinion.He still doesnt look right to me,but hopefully last night will give him confidence going foreward.
Does anybody think its a bad idea to have Madson close for a while?

Why should one performance… one good start… change your opinion of whether a player belongs on the roster? That’s absurd. What changed overnight? You have to stick these guys… I mean, considering what they did for all of last year, two months of baseball is not enough to condemn any player on this roster.

I can’t believe the stinking mets, the whole team is hurt and they are only a .5 game behind us and they already had a west coast trip. while we played washington 6 games or 7 I believe. We really need to win at home and go on a ten or 11 game winning streak. put some distance between us and the rest of the east.

Geoff he had a great start against St. Louis…perhaps that’s the one you are thinking of.

And listen, everyone keeps getting on our guys for giving up too many home runs but wouldn’t you rather see home runs (especially solo ones which has been the case) instead of guys being wild all the time? It’s amazingly easy to cut back on homers. Just make one or two mistakes less the next time out. If we curb our home run problems, our rotation looks great. Look how good the command has been! That is what will turn the rotation around.

Also, thanks to Tim for getting the Vote out for the Phils (especially Raul). We all have to do our part here.

Moyers starts have almost all been below average…Joes had been too until last night (I think he had one good one vs washington).

Moyer except 3 bad starts has been decent, not great but decent. Almost everyones expecting 7IP+ 3ER or less with a WHIP close to 1… Moyer’s doing his job, Blanton made a great start.

This teams leading the division with more to come from the bullpen, Cole, Joe & Jamie and guys like Dobbs not to mention what we expect to be monster streaks down the stretch from Ryan, Chase, Jimmy…

This team haven’t played well this season but won a world series in a year there were too many bad and undisciplined games. We’re not giving credit for how well this season is actually going INSPITE of the issues. We’re not hurt like the Mets or floundering like the Fish. I’ll say it again not every hitter is going to hit .300 and not every pitcher is going 7+ with low run totals and don’t expect it, the Yankees tried to buy a guy able to do one of those things into every position and it didn’t happen for years.

The only weak link now is Moyer. who is still very weak. Now Blanton needs 2 or 3 good starts in a row to show consistency.

You guys are d!cks, OBVIOUSLY a performance like that changes things. He had one good performance against Washington before last night and thats it. OF course its going to be different after 7 scoreless innings with 11K’s!

Now if only Moyer could do something wed be back in business.

Can we just root for our friggin team and stop jumping all over guys? This is the type of crap that gives our fan base a bad name. Early yesterday, following a loss, the posts here centered on Blanton being toast, Moyer being cooked and Lidge being useless. Now, one day later, we have one more notch in the win column and suddenly all is well. WTF? Yesterday, we were in first place… today we are still in first place… not much has changed except for the tune on this site. These are the same guys that won a WS in 2008… and we’re better because, in my opinion, our LF is the first half front-runner for NL MVP. Let’s support these guys until they give us a reason to be worried. We’re not helping our cause… Blanton will be fine, Moyer is still throwing the same stuff that won him 16 games in 2008, Lidge’s slider is still filthy, Werth has showed that he can be that guy and Rollins has raised his BA 30 points in May.

So how bout all that trade talk yesterday for starting pitching? We can at least put that away for a day. Blanton’s stuff last night was nothing short of miraculous. He threw aggressively, his fast ball was painted all night, and his slider had a ton of movement. Also glad to see Lidge come in fired up for that last strikeout, huge for his confidence.
Good pitching is contagious. Myers, Hamels, Happ, and Blanton have all thrown phenomenally in their last starts. Now we see if Myers can keep it rolling. I’m fine with him giving up 2-3 HRs a game, as long as they are solo shots. That’s the key with him. He can’t walk batters.

Geoff you are a piece of work man. Earlier yesterday you said, “… try to move Blanton for almost nothing (because he has some value, but not much).” Blanton puts together a good start and he has turned a corner? Last night’s start was not a surprise to me at all. Blanton has been pitching like this since St. Louis, the only thing he didn’t do tonight is surrender a big inning. Blanton is a solid number three and you’ll see his numbers return to his career norms.

We ALL need to push for Rauuuuuul to be on the All-star list. It seems the City of Milwaukee is mobilizing their brew crew fans nicely, and while justified, there is no reason Rauuul is below Manny. Spread the word, let’s all vote Rauuuul in now the best we can! I also think Victorino should be moving up, but we are sitting on another MVP candidate here!

Either tikemike is either a glass half empty kind of guy or he’s the guy who likes people to believe the ship is sinking when it’s sailing smoothly. Yea Moyer hasn’t proved he was worth the new contract but he’s looked better his last 2 starts, if the umpire calls 3rd strike on Helms on the 2-2 then we’re talking about a win for moyer instead of a loss. Blanton, minus his bad 5th inning against Cincinnati has looked very much improved his last few starts, it shows it was a mechanics problem because all the announcers kept talking about was that he was finally coming over the top with the pitch as opposed to more from the side. So as much as you want to think the ship is sinking for a team that is 6 games over .500 and leading their division, it’s not you just need to relax and let the team do what it does best this time of year, win. This team perennially gets hot at the end of may into June and can turn on the burners with all the injuries piling up on the Muts, with Reyes, Church, and Delgado out for a while now is the time to put some space between them.
