Today: Bus Trip To D.C.

Phillies Nation is on its annual bus trip to Washington, D.C. to see the Phillies take on the Nationals at 7 p.m. tonight at Nationals Park. Beforehand, it’s a pregame at Citizens Bank Park and the ride south. Then a tailgate party in D.C. before the game. We’ll be checking in with game one of the doubleheader in the meantime.
Use this thread to discuss Brad Lidge’s struggles, the reniassance of Carlos Ruiz and Pedro Feliz, Chase Utley’s current slump or anything else.

Lidge must be hurt. I think he needs a DL stint to heal up (ie figure things out). Let Madson pitch the 9th once in a while.
I bummed about Happ. I was looking forward to seeing him start. Let’s see what this Carpenter kid is about.

i agree with ped,
madson is awesome and we should let him be a closer for now..i also feed bad for Happ cause he was saying that he was really looking forward to starting
p.s — dont know what the phillies were thinking putting lidge in last night with only a 2 run lead…its senseless to put him in when hes been pretty inconsistent

they needed to put Lidge in last night it was the right situation. He just didn’t get the play he needed with Utley’s throw, he always plays on the edge out there, but his slider was not on nor was his heat. They need to get him medically evaluated asap
