Props to Happ, maybe he’s better than I thought. He’s the 2nd best starter on the team right now and trading him now doesn’t make much sense.

The Phillies need a few more of these to get me excited, but at least they didn’t get swept. Go Yankees tonight.

I think after Cole’s blow up last night, he is going to come out and be great for the rest of the year, I am glad to see Charlie closed the doors and reamed them out last night, because it was almost embarassing to watch them play with no heart or heads for that matter, tomorrow’s game will be a good gauge if they got it go Moyer you are the man

I nominate Werth and Happ for the Ashburn. Even though only one player gets it most of the time, Werth and Happ should get their own half of it.

it is Moyer tomorrow right, hope he has a good outing and we can take 2 out of 3 from these Jays, then onto Atlanta right and we owe them a beat down this time around. Would like at least 6 runs tomorrow and I think that will be enough

yea I never got how JA was tradable but Bastardo was not, JA has shown he has the make up to pitch in the big leagues, he will be a solid #3 pitcher for a long time hopfully, and has the posibilities to become a #2 if he keeps improving at this rate, it is only his first complete season, and went to the pen for the team, now is 5-0 with a compete game shut out under his belt.

@CT: Agreed, but if they can only have one person for the Ashburn, I’d go with Happ. That was the best starting pitching performance we’ve had this year, bar none. Werth definitely pulled up the batting end of the game, but we’ve had great batting games before; we haven’t had pitching like this.

exactley 100 pitches shut out nine innings 5 hits 6?K?’s and no walks Happ for Ashburn, But Werth should get some consideration, but defintly Happ first complete game and shut out, those of you that could see it was he really pitching that well,
