It did last year, Moyer was not awesome last year, and you really need only two studs and two servicable guys to get you through the playoffs, If JB keeps it up he is almost a 2, not saying we don’t go out and get a guy to fill in the rotation, but if Moyer is your 4th starter that would work in the playoffs
Like I have posted before, the front office made some good moves last year, so why doubt them now. They are not going to give up too much for a pitcher who is only going to play this year, they are taking their time, I say have a little faith in the FO and see what they do.
Like I said in the off season the Raul signing, I will wait and see, and despite his recent slump that seems to have worked out pretty well so far, so I still believe they will make the right move, and not mortgage their future

I have to say I ll give up to you tonight, you were right Moyer got rocked,
Saying that does that mean he will pitch well his next start.

An observation maybe these american league guys know how to pitch Raul, and that is why he is in a slump. If he can come out of it in the next week, maybe split up the lefties again, Werth with the exception of his last at bat seems to be coming around, do we go back to Utley, Howard, Wreth, Raul for awhile,

Is “serviceable” going to win the Phillies another World Series? I am happy when Moyer gives you his standard 6 innings and 3 runs because this lineup can usually put up more runs than that, but this team can’t afford to have him give up 6 or 7 runs every 3rd time out.

Clearly it’s not that bad. But my point was that this is miserable baseball to watch right now.

And I DID say that as Phillies fans, we rise and fall too much with every win and loss. It’s sort of in our blood given the rollercoaster rides these teams put us on.

At least Baltimore kick the mutts ass tonight. So we are still 3 up in a very weak division, could it be possible, the weakest division in baseball right now, NL West is pretty bad, so is the AL west, but is the NL East really that far ahead of them

OK a sort of bad game yesterday, a truly terrible game tonight, the season must be over, let’s just trade JRoll, Vic, Howard, for a bunch of prospects, then throw Cole and JB for some young pitching, then we can start all over again, I can wait another 28 years for WS. Cause these guys are the worst team I have ever seen in my 38 years of being a Phillies fan. Maybe we can just swap the whole team for the Pirates team, talent in the minors, yea that would work for me

This is just one of those nights where you don’t know which way to turn after a loss. Everything was terrible.

Moyer was getting hit around like it was batting practice and it could have been even worse. He failed to give the bullpen much of a rest again.

Raul Ibanez is just TERRIBLE lately. I never thought I’d say this, but he is just miserable to watch lately with all of these strikeouts.

These lefthanded hitters kept swinging at a curveball that was a BALL almost every time. It’s just so frustrating when you’re sitting on a couch watching this shit. As Phillies fans, we rise and fall too much with every win and loss. I know this better than anyone. The problem is, these losses are just miserable.

The Phillies have a serious problem with their pitching, their hitting at home is just terrible and yes Jroll needs to be sent down to the 6th spot! They lack that fire because they are WFC’s!

mg52-couldn’t agree more…its not that the team isn’t good, it just they could be better if not dominate if we could manufacture runs….it s a headier brand of baseball that we don’t tend to play eventhough we are more than capable. As for giving up position players for pitching…I’m not a fan of it since have such a high failure rate…you can get really burned like we did with Garcia…Speaking of miraclous soccer shots, did you see the bicycle kick in the North Korea and Saudis game.

HEY LITTLE GUY: NICE PREDICTION….I’ll vouch for it as i read the orginal post.
