Happ has been THE MOST CONSISTENT pitcher all season for the Phillies..

The Phillies are probably thinking that by not naming a starter early for the Friday game.. the Mets will be unable to study film.. thus giving the Phillies any type of edge

oaklandphilsphan, please tell me you were joking by offering Werth for Wang of the Yankees? I hope so, if not, you need to get your head checked out man. Wang only has 1 win this season, and his ERA is OVER 10. He is HORRIBLE. I would rather have Adam Eaton back. If the Phils bring in Wang, we have NO chance, a big fat ZERO chance of ending up in 2nd place in the division much less the wild card race. Wang makes Adam Eaton look like a Cy Young winner. HORRIBLE. In his 7 starts this year, one ONCE did Wang give up LESS than 8 runs and that was a depleted Mutts lineup. Most of Wangs starts ended early because he gave up 8 runs before the 4th inning.

Either way this might be a trade…Penny or Wang could go Friday, Moyer Saturday, and Blanton Sunday on four-days rest

You have got to be kidding he is a bottom of the rotation starter right now, just cause he had one great game that does not make him our best starter.

That a trade is brewing certainly does make sense. Happ might very well be the best SP we got right now so having him pitch against the Mets would be ideal.

Playing the Braves and Mets and now this. With the Phils finally playing better, this is certainly becoming the most interesting week in a while.

the Phillies are not trading Wreth, maybe you should pass me what ever it is that you are smoking, they are not giving up any of their starting 8 players in a trade for anyone. Oakland phillies fan are you talking about next week, JB is starting tonight, Hamels tomorrow, and JA on Thursday,
I do not think Penny is the answer we want in philly.
Would like to Carrsasco pitch, but like I said earlier, I think the PHillies FO only wants to bring him up when they know he will stay up.

I actually think Snell just needs a change of scenery, although I wouldn’t give anything of value for him. Kendrick for Snell? I’d absolutely do that. And it sounds like Pittsburgh is trying to dump his salary.

It was a joke Keith. If we traded Eric Bruntlett for Ian Snell, I think we’d be getting ripped off. Though he did K 17 in a minor league game the other day I heard. He’s a stiff though. Just a joke. I would never trade Drabek.

In all seriousness, I hear Dobbs is very much a trade chip. Seattle wants him bad and with Lowell possibly going to the DL again, they want a Dobbs type as well. So it wouldn’t suprise me to see us score a pitcher from one of those clubs.

Maybe a deal is in the works for Brad Penny?

He last pitched Sunday on four days rest, Friday would be another four-day rest.

Rotation would be:

Blanton—Wednesday
Happ—Thursday
Penny—Friday
Moyer—Saturday
Hamels—Sunday

You got your R,L,R,L,R order, and a rotation of Hamels-Blanton-Happ-Penny for the Playoffs. Carrasco stays in AAA until either Moyer, Happ, or Blanton fall off the wagon. Savery goes to Boston. Bastardo down to AAA when he comes back.
