I will concede to the fact that the Mets are currently in disarray, but I believe that the turning point to both our seasons will take place next week at CITI FIELD; not “Shitfield.” Your Phillies can run away with the NL East next week, or allow the Mets back in the race. Ultimately, your Phillies’ dominion on this division is currently in their hands. Let’s see if their pitching staff can hold off my, seemingly, angry Mets.

Again, your pejorative statements are, honestly, superfluous. I’m sure that a reasonably intelligent man like yourself, Nick, can write an article without using unnecessary obscenities and cheap jabs. One can make his or her point without being condescending!

Again, I respect this blog site very much for its talented bloggers.

I knew this statement was going to be presented at some point.
Another commenter at the time Park was demoted (I do not recall the exact info) may have stated Phillies were 7-2 with Park starting including a loss vs Mets where he gave up 1 run in 7 innings. I doubt Happ would have pitched a shutout in that game. So the best that could have been expected is ONE ADDITIONAL WIN on the bottom line.

Now I totally agree that the bullpen and bats would not have have been as taxed with Happ as the starter. But you really could only have expected one more win.

Also of note. Big unit won his 300th today. Watching the postgame interview now. hes giving mad props to moyer who is next in line to win 300. i still dont think jamie will do it, but its still cool to see the respect
