Blogs can be fun and certainly Tim does a great job with this one. the reality however, is blogs don’t have little or no quality control and – to my knowledge – no credentials. that’s not a knock, but rather a perspective check. an Inquirer writer (despite this bamboozle) probably has what, 12 editors review their material? to publish in an academic journal article, you need educational credentials and have to submit your work, and be super-prepared for criticism and often rejection.

It’s a joke the kinda stuff they try to make stories about anymore..

I understand its the instant-media era, and they need to fill columns, and radio/TV slots, etc.. but some of this stuff is ridiculous.. the drama and off-field stuff with sports is more important than the games themselves on ESPN and stuff. .

The Phillies highlights of our 7-2 victory vs. the Dodgers the other night consisted of the video with Howard hitting a meaningless HR .. and that was all..

and then it was right back to Brett Favre riding a bike on Sunday, so he must be working-out for the NFL… T.O. showed up at minicamp.. lets have 17 different reporters cover this story over and over and over..

I’m actually a little annoyed that the Inquirer made such a big deal about it and brought it to Raul’s attention, because then he had no choice but to fight it head on. I just hope it is not a distraction for him.
