Phillies Pick A Few Notable Players In Day 2

Day two of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft saw the Phillies taking nothing of great note, aside from two players: pitcher Nicholas Hernandez and catcher Andrew Susac. Hernandez, a lefty from the University of Tennessee, is said to be durable and intelligent with the slightly above-average stuff he carries. Susac, meanwhile, is a high schooler with a lot of power and defensive ability. Like most Phillie hopefuls, he lacks great hitting ability, so he’ll need to round that a bit to be a true prospect.
