Drabek is onl a year off Tommy John it would be stupid to bring him up now. He will not get a start in the big leagues this year and frankly I don’t see it happening until the middle of next year if we get a veteran starter. This guy has the potential to be the next Cole Hamels and I am sure management is going to take it nice and slow with their golden boy. When he does make it up to the majors he will be amazing, I’d bet a lot on that.

If we need a temporary guy for our rotation, I rather see Kendrick than Drabek at this point. Drabek needs more time and we gotta be careful when we bring him up. I’d also like to see Carrasco “stick” in the rotation when we do decide to bring him up, and I don’t know if the right time is now (maybe September if he keeps showing good signs?)

Phillies….Kyle welcome to our big leauge team. Bring him up today. NOW. Dont pass go. He will learn. Get rid of Bastardo until he learns three more pitches. Make a trade for a number two.

Drabek today – 2 ER, 5 SO, 1BB, 6H over 7 innings.

I was a little worried about the quality of Savery’s wins because so many of them were against the low-A (just joking) Harrisburg Senators. He’ll be productive for us someday, though. It’s easy to tell he’s working hard this year.

drakek will not be up before 2010 you can bet on that, they will make a Trade july 22 and will only bring up bull pen help unless someone gets hurt
