Considering the location (groin) of the injury, common wisdom is to use every precaution for one involved in athletics. Personally, I would use a conservative approach for Ibanez in having him go slow with rest and rehab and hopefully be ready AFTER the All Star break.

I’m kind of selfishly hoping Raul doesn’t play in the All-Star game, he could use that time to make sure he’s 100% before coming back. We need him badly for the second half, luckily he realizes that and said he won’t play unless he’s back with the team before the ASG.

I think the Phillies as an organization were just being overly cautious with someone they invested in so heavily over the winter. I really hope Raul can make his start in the all star game if for no other reason than what he’s given to us in his short time here. The recognition is deserving for his work ethic. Get back soon old man!

Not that I’m upset about his return… But I’m just praying to god it isn’t premature. I can’t remember such an odd dl stint from a phillie and the constant push-back of his rehab start made me feel uneasy.I just hope he is 100 percent is all… He’s not 25 anymore would hate to risk further injury

Ibanez rehabs today at reading, hope he does come back, boy hate to think how wrong I was on blanton is better than I thought, never saw him this good, and whoever posted under my name is a low life, if you think its funny thats sick,

Just as good news as the Phillies sweep this weekend. I hope he won’t rush in order to make it to the All Star Game but it would be great to have him soon.
