OCP, it was the kids turning around and staring every time we cheered or made any kind of noise that surprised me, so apparently it goes both ways.

He does like the Phils but he’s not always attentive, either… he’s still a 6 year old… I wouldn’t bring him if he wasn’t into the Phils. I haven’t let him get into video games; if a kid is sitting there playing video games, that means that he doesn’t really want to be there… I wouldn’t force my kid to come to a game… but if he’s coming to a game and he wants to eat some cotton candy, I’ll buy him some. It’s part of the experience.

My point is that phans are created early… if I make it a privilege and an event, hopefully they will want to come with dad when they’re old enough to understand the ins and outs of the game. If he doesn’t really want to come, he doesn’t have to… we bring the twins to take some pictures and because it’s something to do. Like I said, they’re sole purpose in life is to terrorize but that doesn’t mean I have to board myself up at home. We try to take them out… I will say this; nothing pisses me off more than catching looks from people (usually old people) at a restaurant. Two year olds aren’t perfect… get over it.

a 6 year old.. who’s about t-ball age ….. thats cool.. he likes the Phillies it seems

I’ve also seen games where 10 year old kids, in Phillies gear, have been sitting in their seats playing PSP or Nintendo DS and stuff..

stay home if you dont want to go to the game kids.. and what parents spend $25-60 on a ticket for their kid to play video games??

Pedro’s next start is most likely going to be with the Phillies, or at least that can be assumed until further notice based on what Ruben Amaro and company have said. It’s possible that they leave him in the minors to see if he can pitch 7 or 8 innings, but both Pedro and Amaro have said that he is ready to get out major league batters.

C’mon guys… I have three boys (a 6 year old and 2 year old twins) and partial season tickets and although most of the time, my wife and I leave them at home with a sitter (or just bring the oldest) we try to take all of them at least once a year… needless to say, they’re certainly NOT interested in the game. My oldest is mainly there for cotton candy and the phanatic. The twins are there to cause havoc (that’s their aim in every facet of life, it seems). Regardless of how stressful it is, I still love taking them to the game. Taking my oldest is always fun… we usually come a little late (2nd inning) and spend some time walking around the park. We usually take our seats by the 4th inning with food in hand (that keeps him entertained for a while)… we take a bathroom break around the 7th (grab a snack) and watch the 8th/9th together. It’s well worth it just for those one or two innings that he’s actually interested in the game. He is a Phillies Phan… he ADORES Jimmy Rollins and wears Phillies shirts 4 out of 5 days of the week. He knows the batting order better than most people and he does a wicked Harry Kalas impersonation… he’s been coming to Phillies games since he was a wee little guy and it’s worth it.

you can’t take kids to a baseball game until they are old enough to at least play T-ball .. .or have some idea what is going on

I hate when parents bring their kids to the game, and the kids dont even watch it… they just want ice cream, and then cotton candy, and then a pretzel, and then a hot dog, and then another bathroom trip, and then a hot dog..

ESPECIALLY when those kids have good seats.. little punks

haha, will do Manny. I’m one of the few people there that actually watches the game, it seems. There was a mom and dad with their kids sitting in front of us last week, and the mom was turned completely around in her seat looking back at us the WHOLE game, drove me NUTS!

I,m going to Reading tonight, think Worley’s pitching. Our local tv news shows highlights of Reading Phils games, and Tues. they showed a clip of Domonic throwing a guy out at 3rd from the OF. I’m telling you, that ball looked like it was going about 150mph, and it was right on the mark, dude apparently has it all, and I’ll be checking him out VERY carefully tonight!

Not trying to be a dick…but there is no parking lot in Right Field…its a highway… its Route 61 past the wall, a sign and a few tree things…

Left Field has a dirt parking lot…
