On Saturday, Phillies Nation and PhillyTailgate.com teamed up to host a road trip to CitiField. Before the game we gave NY a taste of Philly with a Mummers Parade Phillies-style through the streets of Queens. 250+ Phillies fans danced outside of CitiField in their red before the Phils victory. Check out the photos (in no particular order) and this cool video from the event. If you experienced this awesome day first-hand and have your own photos, please shoot us an email, and we’ll post them too.

That is a Sh!t-Ton of people… looks like a blast.. the Phillies fans were very loud all weekend.. I think the Mets being banged-up and in the bottom of the division has a lot to do with that.. but nice work Phillies fans that made the trip !!!!

I wonder if Manuel was contemplating putting his buddy Lidge in the 9th if Happ had held. Phillies are a streaky hitting club. They lead the league in RS, homers, RBIs but they score those in bunches. Not consistent – as proven last night against a shitty team. That’s why they won’t repeat because they don’t have the great players , say, the Yankees had with their dynasty. Dynasties in any sport are hard to come by due to free agency – nobody sticks with the team; they go where the money is.
Ibanez – it’s a mystery of baseball why he fell off the second half o fht eseason to the point he needs to be benched. If everything was predictable in baseball it probably wouldn’t be a sport. Still, a player would come backa little bit or catch fire again. Not so with Ibanez, Hamels or Lidge. If they were half as good as last year, phillies would have 10 more wins then they do. Speaking of fire, if the phillies don’t straighten up, they will find themselves 3 games ahead instead of 7 when they go to Atlanta. Atlanta is dry timberwood during a drought and is about to catch fire.
What Hamels did in his last game was a good sign but it won’t keep. He’ll flake back to his usual incompetent self. He was due to have a decent game against a lousy team like the Pirates. It meant nothing. He’s a flash in the pan and the phillies should look to trade him or send him down to Triple A. He’s an inmature, arrogant, egotistical jerk on the mound. And the umps aren’t to pleased to see his tantrums on the mound.
