Philadelphia Phillies (86-61) at Atlanta Braves (79-69)
Cliff Lee (14-11, 3.00) vs. Tommy Hanson (10-3, 2.65)
Time: 1:30 p.m at Turner Field in Atlanta
Weather: Rain, 72

The Phillies and Braves face each other for the final time of the 2009 season. The Braves won the season series, but the Phillies would like to add one more win with their ace on the mound. The Phillies are 7-10 against their division rivals.
Cliff Lee rebounded from a few shaky outings, throwing a complete game shutout against the Washington Nationals. Lee would like to carry over his success, however one of his poor outings was against the Braves. In five innings, Lee allowed six earned runs on ten hits.
Lee will be opposed by the rookie phenom, Tommy Hanson. Hanson can help his Rookie of the Year campaign, especially since his main competitor, J.A Happ, missed a couple starts. Hanson has allowed only two runs in the last 24 innings he has pitched. Hanson was tacked with the loss in his rain-shortened start against the Phillies in August. Ryan Howard homered off him.
Your Gameday Beer – Coors Light
I hope you’re thirsty. The Silver Bullet ranks up there as one of the best tailgate beers. That’s probably where the superlatives end, as this might be the least flavorable beer around. It’s brewed with Rocky Mountain water and it certainly tastes like it. As you’re flipping between the Phillies and Eagles this Sunday afternoon, have a few with some wings. – By Brian

What did Rino do to get kicked out at first base? Is he trying to set a record for most places to get kicked out of a game from? I am in NC so I am not watching the game I just heard he got kicked out.

To Victorino’s credit, replay shows that he got his foot on the base before the tag was made. It is hard to believe that these ML umpires can blow so many calls throughout a season.

the ball beat victorino there so thats the main reason he was called out even if his foot did get in…ump sometimes just call em out when the ball beats em as t-mac and them were saying the other night.

Shane costs this team at times. He is a baby. Cox would never stand for that garbage. Get rid of him. Yes he can field but cant hit. My mommy can hit better.

i think the umping this year has been bad all over but, this a division rival and there’s enough baseball left for bad things to happen…gotta hold it together esp. for a relatively routine call..

didn’t mean to say the ump was right….it’s the first inning…now he’s got no innings. Nothing with the umps will change until the Dark Lord of MLB is usurped…nice work franciso

Brian Michael – lee hits but he really needs to learn how to bunt…i’ll take productive outs over the occasional single or double from a pitcher any day..

Brooks; Kevin Kolb too green, too inexperienced to start this game today. Have to have an experienced QB in like McNabb in a big game like this against a high-powered offense like New Orleans has. Garcia not ready yet; has not had enough time to prepare.

Early on the iggles were gimicking this game to death – ran out of plays or just tossed the towel in. Regardless, the inevitable – it is now 34-13 deep in the third.

Was not able to see or listen to iggles’ game today but they say that penalties, turnovers, poor punting and 4th down play and a poor game by the defense was their downfall today. Experienced QB like McNabb or Garcia might have been able to control the clock better on offense and help keep the New Orleans offense off the field as much as possible but the defense stills has to come up with a decent game against Saints QB Brees and his offense to have any chance to beat them.
