I love following heroes episodes, it came from boring to a fine tv series now. The first few episodes, Thought, its just an xmen . But now its thrilling, I really hope new season will be aired soon.

If all it took was money and roids to win, Barry Bonds and a whole bunch of other players would be fall classic heroes. THERE NOT. A rod only won after all that stuff. Pure team chemistry. the right mix, scrappy play. Heart. If you haven’t figured that out. Your not very bright. Dont point fingers because your favorite player may be all roided up. it’s now 3-1.If the red sox way back in 2004 beat the yankees in 7 games though the yankees ahead by 3-0 The phellies can overcome the 3-1.What they have to do is focus in the game and field the best pitcher they ever got.Yankees are too proud and the best thing that the Phellies can do is demoralized them,just like what the red sox did in 2007 worls series.

It’s amazing how illiterate the fans are on this blog. The misspellings are rampant. Not just the misspelling of many words but using the wrong grammar. “There” instead of “Their”, etc., etc. Like most anti-yankee fans, the only way you have to fight back is to use the “best team money can buy” or “roids” tactics. Old news, and not even effective. You don’t think Philly players use “roids” as well? Think again, remember there are over 100 names on that list. In addition, any team can be the “best team money can buy” if the owners just put their profits back into their team instead of their and their executive’s pockets. Steinbrenner is known for putting the profits he makes on the Yanks back into his team. Also, the Yanks sell out more stadiums than any other team in baseball. Yankee fans don’t even bother to have legitimate, intelligent baseball conversations with other fans because they have no proof to back up their ridiculous accusations.

Hey all, I guess I should start with a disclaimer: I’m a pretty big Yankees fan. I just Googled “phillies blog” and this was the first site to come up (congrats!). From reading the comments to this post, you guys are much better fans than over at Halos Heaven. Much, much better. Way to be respectful and actually know some things about baseball.

So I’m about to put forth what is probably an unpopular piece of fact around here: this year, Derek Jeter was a better fielder than Jimmy Rollins. He’s got him beat in UZR/150 (2.3 to 5.3, according to fangraphs). While this was a career year for Jeter defensively, and Rollins has clearly been better throughout his career, this year it’s absolutely Jeter. You can make arguments “from just watching baseball,” but I’m unconvinced.

That said, this is looking to be an absolutely phenomenal series. Best of luck, I hope both teams play better baseball than the Angels and Dodgers did.

I have been reading alot of the posts on this blog and i feel that some people are not looking at things in an unbias way. I am a yankee fan but i really respect the phillies for being a very tough, scrappy team they just seem to never give up hope and have confidence in alot of their players. Entering the alds the yankees faced a really tough team in the minnesota twins, they came in bats blazing winning 17 out of 23 games(I think) and the phillies faced a rockies team who was ok to say the least. The alcs was a different story, the dodgers and the angels just seemed like they wanted to watch a phillies-yankees ws, they commited the stupidest mistakes, swung at anything near the plate and depended on pitchers who clearly are not up to the task of taking these two teams out. As for the WS, to me it really is a toss up to the team who plays better cause stats of past games and head-to-head match ups really don’t matter at this point. I think the phillies 1-9 are better with the bats but i think the yankees have better pitching the the phils(especially at closer) I am rooting for my yankees but I am rooting more for a good WS which we haven’t seen in too long. Go Yankees bring it home and good luck Phillies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mets fan here. Chuck, I know the Mets flaws and am the last person to talk smack…even if the Mets have their one good year every decade. I respect the Phillies and love the attitudes of an Utley or Werth.

I get a kick out of Jimmy Rollins because I almost take it as he is upset the Mets don’t put up a better fight. I love his attitude too.

I am a Mets fan and Utley is one of my favorite non-Mets. I don’t subscribe to the Philly-Mets hatred. I love the National League and really are pulling for you guys. Because my team is mismanaged or just have some poor character issues doesn’t take away the fact that your team is built from within and you gutted out years of poor luck and finally are reaping the benefits. You are the true “Rocky” story while Apollo Creed and the Yankees are the rich, pampered, spoiled brats.

Here is an example. Two conversations I over heard from Yankee “die hards”.

A. “This Texieria guy is pretty good” in a puzzled voice
B. “I haven’t really been into them the last few years but love them lately”.

There are die-hard Yankee fans that I respect, but most of the fanbase jump on and off the bandwagon that they do not deserve a WS championship.

Come on Phills…do it for the NL East.
