Dodgers had the most wins in the National League… and beat the Cardinals, who most experts had vs. the Yankees to be in the World Series

Dodgers are a legit team, good lineup, great bench, great bullpen … starting pitching might be a problem..

sounds like the Phillies of 2008 …

Any of the 4 remaining teams could easily win the World Series, so I don’t take any stock in what any of the “experts” say .. they had to guess so they did

I think Phillies- Angels in the World Series, but thats just me..

Ok I love being thew underdog but is anyone else just tired of everytime a Philly sports team is in the playoffs everyone roots or picks against them! Dodgers have been crap after the all-star break but everyone is riding them and all the national papers are talking Dodgers-yankees world series! Where is the respect!

My main concern in all these games is the “odds”…Hamels has dominated the Dodgers, so much so that he is due for a dud. The opposite with Kershaw…he has stunk against the phils, and is due for a good game…hopefully the “odds” will hold off a little longer in our favor before they adjust accordingly. I also dont like this whole thing of so many Dodgers being X-Phils…if we lose a game in any form due to any of these bozos, its going to be even more painful. Like Jimmy said, this series is going to be “epic”….bring it on.

Its going to rain most of next week so I could see times adjusted around the weather. If hamels can win tonight then we can have at worst a split comming to the BANK which will be insane with Lee, Blanton and Hamels and so its a good chance it can be over in 5 agian.

why cholly starting pedro game 2?blanton pitched at dodger stadium last year and we won the game thanks to stairs but come on pedro isn’t the guy who pitched for the red sox anymore you know…I can understand myers being dropped and bruntlett on we can use him pinch running in the late innings…kendrick no surprise either I hope park can pitch good because he’ll be huge addition if he’s 100%…

Honestly, how would you expect Myers to feel? He busted his butt to get back in time for the playoffs. I mean him and charlie seem to have problems. yes, myers is whatever anyone said he is but but it seems that he needs to go so that the choices to close are limited and/or they want some beardo idiot

This series will never end. Not because of the games but the weather. They are predicting huge storms on the east coast. I bet you it will take over two to three weeks to play this out. baseball should be embarrased. most people moved on to the greatest sport in the world. NFL.

I tried to post this on another thread and forgot to enter in my name while using my wife’s lap top.
It was good and I will try and do it again.
I think all you band wagon fans who thought the rockies series was over after the 8th on Monday should stop proving JRoll correct in his statements a few years back.
And did you see Charlie go to the mound on Sunday night and light a fire under lidge, Charlie made some “gut” decisions in that series and it worked out all right.
I think Cole and the rest of the Phillies deserve a pass after last year somewhat.
I think no matter what happens in this series, outside of a Dodger sweep which I do not think will happen, I think this team has defended it’s title with a lot of class and heart. I think the Phillies will win in 5 or 6, but some of you fans need to try to have some of what makes this team great.
Repeating is going to be hard, I hope, and believe they can do it, but if by some stroke of bad luck or timing they do not. They gave us a hell of a ride and have a lot of pride and play the game right. So get off their backs if they fail somewhere along the way.
Cole will step up tomorrow I believe that.

The Phillies have beaten Kershaw twice this year. He has walked 7 batters in 10.1 innings against the Phillies. He has walked 91 batters in 171 innings.

Maybe Torre is playing a hunch to start him in Game 1.

Well I did start to freak in Game 4 when we went down in the 8th against the Rockies, and especially when it was 2 outs, but they came through. I freaked with 2 weeks left, and they started to play like the Mets, but I wasnt one of the ones who freaked before the all star break, or call for players to be traded.
