It’s time for another installment of Phillies trivia – brought to you by Wholesale Keychains and Steve Bucci’s Total Phillies Trivia.

Phillies KeychainThe answer to last week’s question is Kim Batiste. His game-winning RBI in the 10th inning of Game 1 of the 1993 NLCS at the Vet atoned for his costly 9th inning error. Carlos Ruiz also recorded a game-winner in last year’s World Series, but Batty did it first.  Congratulations to Alex from Decatur, Georgia whose correct answer was chosen as the winner. He will receive a free Phillies keychain and so will a random fan who can answer this week’s question correctly.  It’s similar to last week, but we’re looking for a home run hitter this time.

Who was the first Phillie to hit a walk-off home run in the post season?

Hold on, last week’s question was who had the first post-season walk-off SINGLE. Kim Batiste’s hit in 1993 was a DOUBLE (I was at the game, it was awesome):

You know, I considered that – I was at the game too. I’ve seen it scored both ways since Kruk was already on second when it was hit.

looks like we have controversy ! I cant believe I forgot about Kim Batistes hit though…probably got removed from my brain when Carter hit that other walk off later on.

As I remember it, Batiste came in as a defensive replacement for Hollins (Hollins was having trouble with his throwing) and made a key error that resulted in a tie game. He then got a hit to win the game and was carried off the field.
