There is zero coverage of the good guys down here, unless they play the braves. I rely on this site in its entirety for real phils baseball content. The Phillies dominated the Doyers, although by listening to the TBS broadcasters, you might think otherwise. It will only be worse if we play NewYork. A well deserved tip of the hat to Tim, Pat, Amanda, Brian, Corey and anyone else I may have missed for keeping me well informed, making me laugh and putting up the best damn baseball site on the internet

great piece corey, god i love this site. That's all that matters in the end. I live downtown, and celebration on Broad Street was awesome! We saw so many hot chicks in Phils gear walking, running, and stripping in a few cases up and down Broad Street. It was like Christmas. Maybe I'm naive, but I wasn't expecting that since already won in all last year. I'm sure glad I was wrong. The rain expected in NY this weekend could really make this ALCS even more helpful to the Phillies. A game 7 wipes out C.C. for Game 1. I think eventually the 3-man rotation that Joe used will blow up in his face.-If the Angels win it might actually be a let down. Hopefully not for the actually Phillies.-All I ask of Charlie and his staff: Make and committ to defined roles for our pitchers. Can't keep doing the flip around in the WS.
Unless of course a situation arises for u to abort your original plan.-The Phils are waisting Happ's tremd talent/s. I think he should start in the WS.
Same thing w/Blanton. Bring up Condrey(if healthy) and let Blanton remain a starter-I know the Yanks had the best O in baseball vs lefties this season. But their succ off lefties is not set in stone.-I like our rotation to be: Game 1 Lee, Game 2 Blanton, Game 3 Cole(can he handle NY? The Mets fans got to him), Game 4 Happ. Game 5-7 if necc.. depends on the situation other than a sweep of course.Pedro the emger starte

I’m not even respond to the BS. It's like I don't Charlie made a bad decision to start Cole game 1 because he owned the Dodgers. Hind-sight is always 20-20. The bottom line is the players have to execute on the field and the Phillies were flat out better and rise to the occasion. That's why I never panicked at the end of the year because when the lights are on, this team comes to play.

I don’t think Torre made a bad decision not starting Billingsly because the Phillies crush him. Not sure how you remove a guy like Lackey for Oliver with a 4 run lead and 2 outs... he gets better when the pressure is on and he is their best pitcher. Burnett was starting to look a little tired; in the 7th he allowed a hit and a walk to the 8-9 hitters... no outs. Plus, the Yankees had their bullpen set up... maybe they should have went Joba, Hughes, Rivera like they've been doing but hindsight is 20/20. The biggest mistake on the Yankee side was made when Posada allowed Phil Hughes to challenge Vlad with a fastball when the count was 1-2... you don't let him throw that pitch to Vlad. Burn one in the dirt because Vlad will chase.Saunders/Pettite tonight... tough matchup for the Yankees. This thing could go very easily go 7. Wouldn't that be something?

Taking out Lackey was worse by far… Lackey is there ace and despite loading the bases, was in control.
