It’s been an un-effing-believable west coast trip thus far, and the Phillies can cap it off tonight with a win over surging Colorado. A victory would make it a 6-1 road jaunt, a hell of a turnaround considering how they ended the last homestand against Houston.
Joe Blanton hasn’t lost a game in over a month. Think about that for a second. This guy was so bad in May and June that people wanted him banished from Philly for-ev-er. He’s turned it around, and at a very good time. Blanton has been a solid number four, but he’ll need to be so for the rest of the season – no more hiccups.
Scoring all of these runs has been a fun pastime for this team. In the thin air of the Rocky Mountains, against a pitcher they don’t know all that well, perhaps there is more to be had.

Highlife is my favorite beer. The phils sometimes make me drink cheap whiskey though to cope.
Funny about earl. Hes gonna hit the carolinas and then north of us but apparently he isnt gonna give the DC area even any rain.
Big game. As stated before the over use of the rmero madosn lidge trio lately is a worry of mine. So lets win in a non save situation. 11-2 comes to mind.
I will be montotring the sorry no account Mutts too. I really hope they show some interest and life with Johan pitching. I think hes lost some of his stuff and isnt an ace anymore but he does have some heart. Not many Mets do.

I used to love the High Life – the delivery guy is Windell Middlebrooks, no kidding.
He will be in prime time soon as people are drawn to his, “Are you kidding me?”
It’s Amstel for me now.
I think once Earl gets to the Carolinas, he’s bouncing out to sea further and losing a ton of velocity.

Nunez blew that game in ATL and the Mets are a flat disgrace.
