I wonder if the very young baseball fans who never seen the Vet, let alone attended a game there would be puzzled by a flying saucer shaped design on the shirt (chuckles). One suggestion; the words “The Vet” should be printed under the stadium.
The Vet’s architectural design belongs to that era of a dreary group of oversized concrete behemoths where fans in many seating areas needed binoculars to watch a game. :-) Frankly, for many baseball purists, the cavernous stadium with its’ artificial turf was a visual eyesore. I guess nostalgia can be applied to anything including the 700 level with its’ then reputation for having the rowdiest fans located there. Obviously I’m making a point here that I don’t miss going to the Vet. However, I do have fond memories of that very special year..1980. :-)
