Spring Training is underway down in Clearwater, Florida, with real baseball beginning on Saturday as the Phillies battle the Yankees. As compiled by our minor league contributor, Jay Floyd, here is our full ProspectNation Top 25 list in its entirety. Hope this list sheds some light on what’s being called one of the best farm systems in all of baseball.

It is nice to see some good pitching prospects that seem ready to step up to the next level soon. With all the talent the Phillies have traded away in the last few years it is also good to see a nice mix in the top 25 prospects in the organization. Infield and outfield, if Dom Brown is the real deal, they are still going to need another corner outfielder after 2011, unless Ben Fran has a break out season. Plus PP only has 2 years left and I really do not see him playing full time once this contract is up.
But by the looks of this list they have a good core of young arms that may continue the Phillies winning ways well past 2014

This TOP 25 PROSPECTS is an outstanding, well-written and highly informative piece that comes at the best time of the year. It really gets me excited about Spring Training, It is good to see that we do have some solid pitchers as prospects. I’d like to see the grooming of some infielders, as well. But, they may be in the ranks of 26 to 50. Keep up the good work.

Jay has done an outstanding job letting us into the world of the Phillies top prospects. Still 13 more to go, too. I’m surprised more haven’t commented on the prospect list, because Phillies Nation is usually filled with so many people who are knowledgeable about the lower levels.
In any case, the Phillies seem to be stacked at the lower levels, so if even half of these guys can pan out, it’ll be a win.

The prospects posting are definitely a highlight for me – informative and well written. I’ve read each one at least once, but don’t comment much – primarily because with the exception of a few personal experiences in LV from Taylor, Brown, Mathieson, and Bozied, I don’t have much to add that hasn’t been said.
It seems like Rizzoti is pretty much ready – is there a team who has a lot of lower level middle infielder prospects, and could use a power lefty bat at 1st/DH? While not yet old, at 25, he’s getting close to that career-minor leaguer status.

I’m surprised by the omission of Cesar Hernandez, a 20-year old 2B who played at Williamsport in 2010, hit .325, stole 32 bases and played strong defense. He may be the Phils’ top middle infield prospect.

I feel like Rizzotti is a little high on this list (particularly that he’s above Santana) but to each their own. Great stuff, I’ve been following the whole series and it’s been incredibly detailed and a pleasure to read.
