Jimmy Rollins is not in the lineup today, Charlie Manuel is holding him out after he missed a few days while on a trip to Washington, DC. He is not injured. Chase Utley will also continue his rest as he deals with some general soreness due to the rigors of getting back into baseball shape.

Your gameday beer: Yards Love Stout

Anything from Yards is a friend of mine. They just make damn good beers. My favorite is Yards ESA, but this Love Stout is intriguing. It’s a very dark beer with a dark head that has a chocolate and coffee aroma. For you java lovers, this could be gold.-Pat Gallen
GO PHILLIES!

This is the longest pre-game ceremony for a ST game that I have ever seen, sheesh.

Steinbrenner’s grandaughter did a better job on the national anthem than Christina Aguilera. But I agree ridiculous long pomp and ceremony for ST game

That Orr kid looks fast as hell.
Ibanez still looks like he’s standing too far off the plate to catch up to that outside fastball.
Howard had a nice AB going the other way the whole time.
Hamels looks as solid as a pitcher can in his first Spring Training game.
GO PHITINS

Cole: I know it’s been a long time, but the objective is to get the ball between the shoulders and the knees. Sheesh.

Cole looked pretty good for first time out. 1 hit 1 run 1 BB 2K-
Indians signed Durbin- we really didn’t need him.
PhaninChi- I agree, Orr can move.

When I made that comment, he had just thrown 6 balls in a row. He settled down nicely.

I find it hilarious how YES didn’t even identify the opposing team before they took the field. At that point, I said, “We can deal with the minute delay. We can’t deal with the Yankees broadcasters.”
Franzke and Andersen all the way.
Cole did pretty well for his first time out.
I’m liking what I’m seeing so far.

I’m looking at the Danys Baez pitching line in the “B” game – two thirds of an inning while allowing 5 Hs, a walk, and 5 runs. It looks like the dude is already in mid-season form.
I’m Ted Bell.

Gotta love spring training. Today, they’re playing against the Yanks in Tampa. Tomorrow, they’re playing the Yanks in Clearwater.

Good old Dane Sardhina. Might have been a seeing eye hit, but a really great AB.
Like Orr quite a bit.
Worley was consistently around 94mph, needs to locate his junk better, but not bad at all.
They seriously need to give Valdez a raise. great job beating the throw.
Ben Fran will do just fine this year, looks slimmed down a little, and faster.
