Game 2 of the On Deck Series is the final tune up for the entire Phillies team. A team that is now without Luis Castillo who was released earlier today. The ‘experiment’ at second base was not what Charlie Manuel and the Phillies were looking for.
For today, Cole Hamels takes the ball against the Pirates. Hamels has pitched adequately enough this Spring (1-1, 6.75) in six starts and 24 innings. Joe Blanton is also scheduled to pitch.
It looks like Manuel is previewing his Opening Day line up to the home town crowd two days early. And it looks good.

I would really have liked to see Raul bat 3rd he has monster numbers from the 3 spot. In addition I know I am in the minority here but I like Jimmy leading off, but the powers to be know more than I so I will trust in Cholly and GO PHILLIES
