Dykstra Arrested on Federal Charges

Former Phillie Lenny Dykstra is in hot water again. Apparently, “Dude” stole items from a house that previously belonged to him, but was up for Sheriff’s sale, and has been arrested on federal charges in Los Angeles.

From the LA Times:

“Dykstra admitted in a bankruptcy hearing to having arranged the sale of sports memorabilia and a dresser that were property of the bankruptcy estate; and Dykstra “ripped out” a $50,000 sink from his mansion and took granite from the mansion and installed it in an office he set up at the Camarillo airport after he had filed for bankruptcy protection.”

“Nails” was thought to have already hit rock bottom, but this might be the nail in coffin. Dykstra continues to say he has done nothing wrong, although from the multiple investigations and lawsuits pertaining to his name, we all know better than that.

Lenny Dykstra was one of my favorite players growing up in Philadelphia. He played his ass off and his diminutive stature only made his allure more appealing (although we now know he was aided by some performance-enhancing substances).

Lenny Dykstra is not one of my favorite human beings. The guy has ripped off countless people and lives in some sort of fantasy world. Perhaps this will be the final straw and a wake up call of sorts.
