Opening Day Minor League Rosters Unveiled

With minor league opening day coming up next week, rosters for the Phillies’ developmental levels were posted in Clearwater on Saturday, mere hours before players would depart for their new temporary home towns. Full roster information lies ahead.

Single A Lakewood BlueClaws-
Starting pitchers…Jesse Biddle, Colby Shreve, Mario Hollands, Ervis Manzanillo, David Buchanan.
Relief pitchers…friend of the site Jake Borup, Eric Pettis, Juan Sosa, Garett Claypool, Tyler Knigge, Bryan Morgado, Chase Johnson.
Infielder…Jim Murphy, Stephen Batts, Jeremy Barnes, Geancarlo Mendez, Carlos Perdomo, Edgar Duran.
Outfielders…Zach Collier, Domingo Santana, Aaron Altherr, Miguel Alvarez, Anthony Hewitt.
Catcher…Torre Langley, Cameron Rupp.
Disabled list…Nick Hernandez, Mike McGuire.  McGuire is recovering on schedule from blood clot surgery in February and will report ro extended spring training to rehab with Phillies trainers this week.

High A Level Clearwater Threshers-
Starting pitchers…Jarred Cosart, Trevor May, Brody Colvin, Jonathan Pettibone, Julio Rodriguez.
Relief pitchers…Joe Esposito, Tyler Cloyd, Jordan Ellis, Justin Friend, Jordan Whatcott, Ebelin Lugo, Derrick Loop.
Infielders… friend of the site Moose Mattair, Cesar Hernandez, Joe Savery, Troy Hanzawa, Alan Schoenberger, Darin Ruf.
Outfielders…Jiwan James, Jon Singleton, Brian Gump, D’Arby Myers, Leandro Castro.
Catchers…Sebastian Valle, Kyle Lafrenz, Joel Naughton.
Disabled list…Matt Way.

Double A Reading Phillies-
Starting pitchers- Austin Hyatt, JC Ramirez, Ryan Edell, Josh Zeid and Mike Cisco.
Relief Pitchers…Phillippe Aumont, BJ Rosenberg, Justin De Fratus, Chris Kissock, Tyson Brummett, Chance Chapman, Jacob Diekman.
Infield- Matt Rizzotti, Cody Overbeck, Harold Garcia, Freddy Galvis, Carlos Rivero and Fidel Hernandez.
Outfielders…Mike Spidale, Stephen Susdorf, Chris Frey and Derrick Mitchell.
Catchers…Tuffy Gosewisch and Tim Kennelly.
Disable list…Jeremy Slayden, Tyson Gillies, John Suomi and Brian Gordon. Suomi’s addition to the DL leaves a spot open on the roster.

Triple A Lehigh Valley-
Starting pitchers…Vance Worley, Nate Bump, Ryan Feierabend, Drew Carpenter, Eddie Bonine.
Relief pitchers…Brian Bass, Jason Grilli, Michael Schwimer, Mike Stutes, Mike Zagurski, Scott Mathieson.
Infielders…Josh Barfield, Ronnie Belliard, Jeff Larish, Rob Hudson, Kevin Frandsen.
Outfielders…Matt Miller, Brandon Moss, Delwyn Young, Cory Sullivan, Rich Thompson.
Catchers…Erik Kratz, Dane Sardinha.
Disabled list…Juan Perez, Drew Naylor, Tagg Bozied.
Dan Meyer’s release opens a spot on the Lehigh roster.

Kelly Dugan, who was taken 75th overall by the Phillies in the 2009 amateur draft will begin the season in extended spring training.

    Oh man I can hardly contain my excitement…Padres IVIE Projections Draft for 2009 Relief Pitchers….IP.ERA…..Mike Adams.30.3.75…Heath Bell.75.3.48…Chris Britton.30.4.46…Mike Ekstrom.25.5.31…Justin Hampson.40.3.15…Cla Meredith.75.3.65…Ivan Nova.40.5.67…Scott Patterson.50.3.97…Duaner Sanchez.50.4.12…Joe Thatcher.25.3.86…Mark Worrell.60.3.65….Adams isnt due back until at least the end of May and Im assuming there will be some rust when he returns..I have no idea what to expect from Bell.
