Listen to today’s “Daily Debate” between Pat Gallen and Mike Gill of 973 ESPN FM in South Jersey. Today’s topic is a very interesting one – who is the Phillies MVP at the 1/4 pole of the season?

There are a few choices on this list, which player would you pick?

If you so choose, give us a vote at the bottom so we can see who wins the argument (for bragging rights, of course!).

Phils MVP at the quarter mark – this is not an easy one, nobody has been consistent but the closest I could come up with is Poly. He smoked all of April and gave us some shots in May as well.

Hamels actually gets some consideration, but its more emotional than realistic. Halladay quite close. Cannot exclude Ryan Howard who set the Phils record for the most RBI in April and is close to the lead in May.

Yes, I would have to say the closest to MVP status to me for this quarter would have to be Placido Polanco.

Sorry for the late posting, hard to evaluate quarter grades when in the middle of a really difficult homestand!
