LAST NIGHT:
Here are the links from last nights game, if you’re just catching up. Check out our recap, our video collage, and Mike Baumann’s firsthand account of the game. It’s all great stuff by the people here at Phillies Nation!
TODAY:
It’s a half-lineup for the Phillies as they rest most of their older starters. I would assume this to be a very quick game; Cliff Lee will want to get everyone the hell out of here and in bed early tonight, before the Phillies begin a nine-game road trip. Lee will also throw 125 pitches if possible. Don’t think we’ll be seeing much of the bullpen this afternoon.
PHILLIES LINEUP:
Martinez SS, Brown RF, Utley 2B, Howard 1B, Ibanez LF, Mayberry CF, Valdez 3B, Sardinha C, Lee P
Your Gameday Beer – Corona
What a better beer to have on a hot, sunny day. We get you ready for Memorial Day weekend with an ice cold Corona. Lime, or no lime, it’s about as refreshing as a beer can get – and they go down smooth as hell. Be sure to stay cool if you’re in the stands at the game, but if you’re watching from home, have a few of these and get yourself a cheesesteak from Jim’s or Steve’s.
GO PHILLIES

I just found out Gload had a injury although i figured his lack of appearances an injury was the cause. Through all these injuries the Phils are still holding their own. Today;s line up looks weak Sardine, Mini-Mart an Brown. Brown isnt really hitting all though he gave the ball a nice ride yesterday in the late innings. Last night was an amazing game a crazy game. We need to after another outfielder. I dont see us going far with Mayberry an Brown. Not sure if Brown is ready an Mayberry although a good athlete his bat doesnt seem to great i believe he is destined to be a bencher.

Last night’s game will be great if we can follow it up with a great win today. Get some runs on the board and get Lee to pitch 9. Lets do it baby.

Who runs on the field?
Should be tazered, beaten and given 10 years in jail
If you knew that would happen you wouldnt do it
Eventually one of these people will hurt a player here. ALA Monica Seles
And then it will be taken seriously
But sadly you the average fans access to the sport and the players will have to be diminished after that happens

If you are a professional athlete and you can’t run away or defend yourself from a drunk/high college student, you probably should not be playing for a professional team anyway. Maybe the Mets will sign you.

Yea, that is what grad school does to you. I have two months left. Right now the only people with the same sleep schedule as me are truck drivers and serial killers.

Brooks, Do you remember when Linebacker Mike Curtis for the Colts smashed a guy for running on the field? Leveled him, one of the coolest things I ever saw.

Have you seen the average fan who runs on the field Phillies games? It’s usually a drunk 20 year old who either weighs 115 pounds or 315 pounds. There does not seem to be a middle ground.
Also, they check you for weapons when you enter the game. They are not looking for beers when they pat you down, they are more concerned about weapons. In fact, I think when I went to the game on Tuesday night, they were using metal detectors.
People have been running on the field for years. I don’t under why now it is all of a sudden a catastrophe waiting to happen.

everyone said who needs doc when you have lee. they were putting lee on that level. lee is a nice pitcher but not get crazy here. 4-0 lead….that should be the ball game.

Have you gone through security at a sporting event?
Could someone with bad intentions get something through?
I just dont think its funny. Ever seen Monica seles stabbed? And what happened to her career or the fans beating up a third base coach.
they run out because people clap and laugh.
It will go bad one time. Real bad. And people wont laugh anymore and you wont see people runnning on the field anymore because it wont be tolerated.
But then you wont be able to get an autograph before or after the game anymore either.
