A couple of days ago, Jimmy Rollins was sent to the DL with a Grade 2 groin strain. For a guy who relies on his legs, this isn’t the best news in the world. Luckily, there is plenty of time for him to heal before the playoffs begin in early October.
But are you still worried? Rollins has provided the Phillies with a spark this year and is still proving his worth at the top of the order. Not to mention, his defense has been steady as always at shortstop.
How concerned are you about Rollins moving forward? Let us know in the poll below.

He still has legs? I thought they cut them off in 2010.
But hey sign him long term.
You cant replace his glove. But heck Ryan Howard can hit .240.
The bat is replaced with Mickey (Mantle) Martinez.

Rollins has 79 Runs scored and 28 Steals …. plays better defense at SS than anyone not named “Tulo” …
If you’d rather have Freddy Galvis – or god knows what other Free Agent at SS… your team won’t be as good.
But if you’re a fan worried about Rollins getting paid $8 vs. $10 M … for 3 years, and would consider that too much money, and too long-term …. by all means, start complaing now because that’s where his contract is heading

I’m absolutely concerned. But he is still a better hitter than Martinez and Valdez and that’s the biggest thing I’m worried about. With no legs, he’s a better option for the six/seven-hole heading into the playoffs.
