Sure, that was hockey and this is a Phillies blog, but who cares? The Flyers and Rangers took over Citizens Bank Park, our home, and made it their own for an awesome day that, sadly, ended in a 3-2 Flyers loss.
Here are some of the sights and sounds from a great day for the sport of hockey and the city of Philadelphia, even though the Flyers lost.

Love the pictures, Pat. Great recap for those of us unable to attend. Little words needed for such a beautiful park!

Brooks, I believe they are actually getting a new field altogether once its over. So it’ll be nice and new for 2012.

Awesome event for the city. Great game too…except for the outcome. I’ve got tickets for Friday’s game with the Bears and Phantoms and can’t wait to see what it looks like to see a hockey rink inside of our park! And I love what they did with leaving home plate and the batters box and the pitcher’s mound exposed….as if to say, “You can play your hockey game here but just remember that THIS is a baseball park!”
