I know I picked Cole for Cy Young last year, so I am doing it again this year and next and every year until he wins one lol. I really doubt Albert will win the al mvp I just do not see him having a great year, plus he has placed a high bar and he would have to exceed those expectaions to win the award. I also think if Shane can keep his head in the game he might be in the running for MVP early if the phillies get off to a good start, because he will have to a great start for them to get off to a great start

I’ll give you a sleeper MVP in the NL that escaped any votes. Buster Posey. He showed in his first year he was a good hitter. Obviously, this would be based on having a good year again (first full one), and not necessarily a great one statistically that typically portrays an MVP year. But if he has a good year, and the Giants win their division, you’d figure he’d have a good amount to do with a still offensively challenged ballclub winning, and it’d be easy to give him additional credit for handling a staff that should create debate again as to who has the top 3 starters in the League with the expected emergence of Madison Bumgarner adding to Cain and Lincecum. I noticed Jon Nisula has him as a pitcher to watch on the NL side. Now whether Posey winds up THEE MVP, under positive circumstances is still iffy, but I think he’s worth a watch.

Most guys never repeat getting the big awards, though some of these projections are good. Here’s two examples:
    1. Cy Young for Verlander: While he may deserve it, I only project him to go 21-8 this year, which opens up the award to 19- and 20-game winners.
    – Note: Halladay, Lee, and/or Hamels dueling against Verlander and Valverde in the Fall Classic will be a series to watch because of the pitching match-ups.
    2. Cy Young for one of the Phillies’ aces: it’s a good bet but other candidates: members of the staffs of the projected wild card winners; for instance, Kershaw, Lincecum, & Kennedy
    3. MVP for Kemp: if he has 45 HRs and 45 SBs; is in the top 5 in BA, RBIs & HRs; and his team is in 2nd place or wins their division or makes one of the wild card spots, Kemp would probably get the MVP.

      Not to mention 13, 14, and 15-game winners ;-)
