Atlanta Braves (87-65) vs. Philadelphia Phillies (77-75)

Tim Hudson (15-6, 3.77) vs. Cliff Lee (6-7, 3.27)

Time: 4:05 PM, Citizens Bank Park

Weather: Clear, 70

Media: Twitter and Facebook

Saturday was not pretty for the Phillies. They must rebound today and try to take the final game of the series.

Cliff Lee has been terrific lately. He’s 4-0 with a 1.63 ERA in his last 7 starts. He will be opposed by Tim Hudson, who is 9-9 with a 3.92 ERA in his career against Philadelphia.

Your Gameday BeerHoegaarden

I’ve always like Hoegaarden, which can be enjoyed in small sips with good food. It flows smooth and tastes like citrus. Have some barbecue chicken with it. – By Tim

If I were Cliff I’d ask to be traded to a team that’ll win my starts. Totally disapointed with my team the last two days!

You could have said the same thing for Hamels in terms of run support the last two years. And where did he decide to sign for the next 6 years?

It’s baseball, you know- a round ball, and a cylindrical bat. Some nights you get 9 hits in one inning in New York, and sometimes you just don’t connect. The person that happens to be pitching in either situation is purely coincidental. If you have played, you understand that sometimes you hit, and sometimes you don’t on any level. In fact, I can say without reservation that nothing in life has ever humbled me more than trying to hit a baseball with any consistency.
