New York Mets (29-42) at Philadelphia Phillies (36-39)

Matt Harvey (6-1, 2.16) vs. John Lannan (0-1, 5.49)

TIME: 1:35, Citizens Bank Park
WEATHER: 84, chance of rain
MEDIA: Facebook or Twitter

Kevin Fransden saved the day yesterday after the Phillies blew a 6 run lead.  The bullpen really needs to step up as they have the worst ERA in all of baseball at 4.67.  Even Jonathan Papelbon is struggling.

After Charlie Manuel’s rant, the Phillies offense did step it up by scoring 8 runs yesterday.  Today it will be tougher to score runs with Matt Harvey on the mound. The 24-year old is one of the brightest spots the Mets have.  He’s been lights out and has had previous success against Philadelphia.

Harvey will be opposed by John Lannan, who will be making his second start since coming off the disabled list.

Lineup: SS Rollins, 2B Utley, 3B M.Young, 1B Howard, LF Brown, RF D. Young, CF Revere, C Quintero, P Lannan.

The Mets have figured out that right center field is an automatic double, and they keep slamming that spot. :-P

The irony is that Revere was the featured player of the game, and he’s been a black hole all night.

I had no idea JC Ramirez could thrown his fastball in the high 90s! He just struck out the side.

At least something positive about this game…
