2014 Gameday, Posts

STK-MLB-PHP-P1992-01CardinalsPhiladelphia Phillies (57-71) vs St. Louis Cardinals (69-58)

Starting Pitchers:
PHI: David Buchanan (6-7, 4.25 ERA)
STL: Shelby Miller (8-9, 4.25 ERA)

Time: 7:05 ET, Citizens Bank Park
Weather: Low 70′s, chance of rain
Media: Twitter and Facebook

A Note for Today: Youngster Dave Buchanan will get the start, and, despite his 4.25 ERA, he hasn’t been terrible. He’s mixed up his pitches well, and works fast–much like a Cliff Lee or Mark Buehrle. He’ll go against Shelby Miller, who coincidentally, has the exact same ERA as Buchanan and is making his first career start at Citizens Bank Park

Lineup: Revere CF, Rollins SS, Utley 2B, Howard 1B, Byrd RF, Brown LF, Ruiz C, Asche 3B, Buchanan P

Otherwise you get the keystone cops routine.

I know its not even his sophomore season, but Asche’s play really annoys me. He’s not even playing replacement level defense. But thats just me, bitch bitch bitch.

Sandberg really over managed this game to death.

He did a great job of killing the Phillies rally in the 8th.
