Phillies Spring Training Trip

Details for four of our 2012 road trips have been announced – Clearwater, Pittsburgh, Washington, DC and Baltimore!  Like last year, we will be teaming up with our friends at Phils Fever (aka Green Legion) for several awesome adventures.  Check out the details:

Spring Training
Friday, March 16 to Monday, March 19

This is easily the most fun you’ll have on a road trip.  In a single weekend you have – Phillies Spring Training, St. Patrick’s Day, Opening Rounds of March Madness, and Spring Break!  All this within the famously sunny surroundings of Clearwater, Florida.  If you are a serious Phillies fan, you need to at least consider coming on the trip.

Read more about the variety of packages starting at just $340 (not including transportation to Clearwater)

Pittsburgh
Friday, April 6 to Sunday, April 8

Time to kick-start the Phillies season and this year, we start in Pittsburgh! Opening Day is unfortunately on a Thursday, so rather than dealing with all the vacation days and missed classes, we decided to offer a package for two nights, either Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday, and you can go to either one or two games, or even a Flyers-Penguins game before the Saturday night Phillies game!

Read more about Opening Weekend in Pittsburgh.

Washington, DC
Saturday, May 5

As you may have heard, the Washington Nationals are trying to keep Phillies fans from taking over Nationals Park yet again. Since baseball returned to DC in 2005, Phillies Nation has been delivering Phillies fans to our nation’s capital – and we’ll do that again this May. Let’s show our old friends Jayson Werth and Brad Lidge what they’re missing!

Read more about our “Take Back Nationals Park” trip in Washington, DC.

Baltimore
Friday, June 8 to Sunday, June 10

The opportunity to see one of baseball’s finest ballparks, the original throwback at Camden Yards, does not come around often.  This year we have plenty of chances to see the Phillies play the neighboring Orioles in an interleague matchup.  You can come down just for 1 game or stay the entire weekend.  Plus there are bus pick-ups at three different locations around Philly.

Tickets to the event are $25 and include an open bar, appearances by local celebrities, a silent auction, giveaways, live music and plenty more. You can purchase tickets here.

He was in the Philly burbs with Mobil 1, pushing their product, while signing autographs and taking pictures with some friendly Phillies fans.

I got to talk with The Bull for a minute to discuss the Phils offensive woes and their sick pitching staff (sorry about the audio, got a little windy out there). Myself, along with Phillies Nation promo girls Jenni and Lauren, gave out a few t-shirts thanks to our friends at PHILAVANIA. The Phillies Nation stickers were also a hit. Luzinski also signed a baseball and Phillies Nation shirt for us, which we’ll be giving out soon.

Win Tickets to See Werth’s First Game Back!http://philliesnation.com/archives/2011/04/win-tickets-to-see-werths-first-game-back/ http://philliesnation.com/archives/2011/04/win-tickets-to-see-werths-first-game-back/#comments Fri, 29 Apr 2011 16:30:27 +0000 Pat Gallen http://philliesnation.com/?p=20384
Former Phillie Jayson Werth will make his return to Citizens Bank Park Tuesday, May 3 at 7:05. As you’re well aware, Werth spent four solid seasons in Philadelphia before leaving for greener pastures in Washington D.C. (or a losing record and a lot of cash, depends on how you look at it).

Want to see him make his return? Want to be able to cheer him or boo him, whichever you prefer? Well Phillies Nation can help! With the help of our ticket partner, TiqIQ, we’re giving away two tickets to Phillies/Nationals on May 3rd for his return. All you have to do is register on facebook, and here’s how:

Step 1: Go to facebook and give a “like” to our NEW “PHILLIES NATION TICKETS” PAGE. We’ve put this page together to keep you informed of all the best possible prices for Phils tickets so that you can see a game on your terms and at your price.

Step 2: Answer the question below on the Phillies Nation Tickets facebook page only!:

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE JAYSON WERTH MOMENT WITH THE PHILLIES?

Make sure you’re argument is solid and well thought out, but please keep it short and to the point (under 250 words, please!). We will carefully consider them all! Only one per person!

Step 3: Wait for your name to be called!

-The contest begins Friday, April 29 at Noon and will end Monday, May 2 at Noon. You have a full weekend to come up with the best argument!

REGISTER NOW AT THE NEW “PHILLIES NATION TICKETS” PAGE!!

2011 Phillies Road Tripshttp://philliesnation.com/archives/2011/04/2011-phillies-road-trips-2/ http://philliesnation.com/archives/2011/04/2011-phillies-road-trips-2/#comments Sat, 16 Apr 2011 19:27:48 +0000 Pat Gallen http://philliesnation.com/?p=20070 2011 Phillies Nation Road Trips
Six years ago, Phillies Nation ran its first road trip to Washington, DC in what was then the first year of baseball in our nation’s capital. That day, Rob Cowie captained a short bus full of fans (and a few cases of beer) down I-95 to old RFK Stadium. Since then thousands of fans have traveled with us to cities around the country to root on the Phillies and have a good time.

This year, we have our most ambitious slate of trips yet. Along with our partner Phils Fever, we aim to fill opposing stadiums and show the country what being a Phillies fan is really about.

The regular season started with a massive invasion of DC on April 14 to see our old friend Jayson Werth face our returning hero Cliff Lee. We all know how that worked out (CG-SO!). There are another 2 trips to DC, 2 to New York plus overnight stays in San Diego, Miami, San Francisco and Seattle.

Most Phillies home games will be sold out before the season even begins so don’t miss out on any of the action. Get your tickets to the April 14th trip to DC now and start making plans for the rest of the season.
April 21-25 – San Diego
May 7-11 – Miami
May 29 – New York Mets
May 30 – Washington, DC – Memorial Day
June 16-20 – Seattle
June 23 – Tour of CBP and McFadden’s Party
July 16 – New York Mets – details coming soon
August 4-8 – San Francisco
August 20 – Washington, DC
September 24 – New York Mets
