2013 Phillies Nation road trips

The 2013 baseball season is upon us and now is the time to make plans to follow your Phillies on the road with us. For the third straight year, we are partnering with our friends at Phils Fever to bring you some amazing trips in great locations around the country.

Memorial Day at Fenway Park, Boston
Saturday, May 25 to Tuesday, May 28

For the opening leg of a very strange baseball “home and home,” we find ourselves heading to Boston for a two day series on Monday the 27th and Tuesday the 28th of this year. The Boston Park Plaza is once again playing host to us and has given us the ability to do 2 or 3 night trips over any days you would like to travel. Thus, we are not going to include any transportation costs in this trip. You will tailgate and party at the Cask ‘n Flagon, a staple watering hole on Brookline Ave. and a mere 50 feet to the corner right field entrance into Fenway. Our tickets for the Monday, Memorial Day game will be in the outfield bleachers. If you’ve never seen baseball at the historic Fenway Park, now is the time.

Bus trip to Citi Field, New York City
Saturday, July 20

Our New York trip features charter bus service to and from Citi Field with tickets in the outfield bleachers for the 1:10 pm Phillies-Mets game on July 20. As you know, the area around the ballpark is not very conducive to tailgating, so we’re partying at McFadden’s in Citi Field with all the carved top round, roast pork, buffalo wings, pasta salad, cole slaw, green salad, soft pretzels, soda and domestic beers you can handle. If you haven’t been up to the new field yet, now is the time to see the Phils stomp on the Mets.

Tickets for the Citi Field bus trip are $145, get them here >>

Chicago: Phillies at Wrigley and Temple Football at Notre Dame
Friday, August 30 to Monday, September 2

It doesn’t get much better than this! Under the package we have set up, you will go to TWO sacred grounds this weekend. We start with a great Friday night bar crawl on State and Division Streets with our good friends at McFadden’s, Finn McCool’s, and end at Shenanigan’s. There will be no cover and great drink specials for all!

Upon waking Saturday morning, you will take a charter bus to South Bend, Indiana, where you will watch the Temple Owls take on BCS runner-up, Notre Dame Fighting Irish! This is the first time these two schools have ever met on the gridiron. We will have a full tailgate there and you will enjoy that which many people have never seen, a Philadelphia football team playing in South Bend!

Sunday we will head to Wrigleyville for a private bar at Murphy’s Bleachers where your beer and well drinks will be covered for two-hours. With 1 hour to go before the first pitch, we will head to 1032 Loveland for famous rooftop seats (not looking directly into the sun) where all of your food, beer, wine, and tips are included until 30 minutes after the Phillies-Cubs game!

Despite the Phillies loss yesterday, the Phillies Nation party in DC was a monumental success. A huge thanks to our friends Quimby, Marylin and the crew of Phils Fever for orchestrating the event – 13 buses and over 800 people made the trip. Here are a few photos from the pregame tailgate. (It’s always fun to get a new Phillies tattoo photo!)

News Mentions from Opening Day in DC

Posted by Brian Michael, Wed, April 14, 2010 03:55 PM Comments: 0

As you may have heard, the crush of Phillies fans that traveled to Washington, DC for Opening Day made some headlines – including our bus trip specifically. The Philly media really tried to capture the excitement surrounding the start of a season with high expectations; the tone was much different coming out of DC. The Washington Post as well as Nats bloggers vilified the Nationals organization for allowing the takeover to occur. This only stoked the flames of outrage sparked by Nationals fans who were quick to blame the organization and Phillies fans; but of course, did not consider their own apathy and naivety.

Here are a few of the stories:
