On this latest edition of Phillies Nation TV, we talk about two big topics from this week; Cole Hamels plunking Bryce Harper and Jayson Werth ripping Philadelphia.

Natalie jumps in with some reader comments and questions, as always.

Our minor league contributor, Jay Floyd, also joins us for some chatter about the Phillies farm system. He highlights some players who are making waves and others who are not.

Phillies Nation TV: “The Rotation”, Hamels/Hamilton

Posted by Pat Gallen, Tue, May 01, 2012 06:49 PM Comments: 2

In the latest edition of Phillies Nation TV, we welcome in special guest Todd Zolecki, author of “The Rotation”, a book he co-authored with Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com.

Zolecki also writes for MLB.com as their Phillies Beat Writer. We talk in-depth about what it took to write a book that centers on the four aces from last season; Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels, and Roy Oswalt. Pretty cool; I saw Rich Dubee walking to the team bus with it in his hand.

Todd sticks around to talk about this year’s Phillies club, which is struggling at the plate. And, we ask him his thoughts on Cole Hamels.

Natalie Egenolf has some great reader comments and questions, plus Corey and I talk about Hamels and Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers. Who would you rather have moving forward if you had to choose?

It’s a great episode, guys. Enjoy!

On the latest edition of Phillies Nation TV, Ryan Lawrence of the Delco Times joins us from Phoenix as the Phillies round out their 10-game road trip. He answers questions about Cliff Lee, Domonic Brown, and more.

We also welcome in John Brazer and Francis Winkey. Brazer is the Phillies Director of Fun and Games and the Director of Publicity. Winkey is the Aramark Merchandise Manager; they both come to show off what the Phillies have in store for fans this season at Citizens Bank Park. A lot of really cool giveaways are upcoming, and they spotlight some of the best.

Also, Ian Riccaboni checks in with Michael Schwimer up at Lehigh Valley to see how he’s feeling about 2012. Schwimer hopes the best is yet to come for him.

And, as always, Natalie Egenolf stops by to help out with some of the best reader comments and questions from the past week.

Welcome back to Phillies Nation TV! Myself, Corey, and Natalie talk about the long west coast roadie the Phillies are currently on.

Natalie has some reader comments and questions, including what other pitchers we enjoy watching outside of the Phillies rotation.

This week on Phillies Nation TV, Corey and I spend some time on Shane Victorino and the possibility of a new contract at a discounted rate after the season as he becomes a free agent. We also discuss Ryan Howard and his “setback.” How far back will he be pushed?

Ian Riccaboni talks with a die-hard Phillies fan who is battling Leukemia and raising money as he fights on. Also, Natalie Egenolf gives us some great reader comments and questions from facebook and Twitter. Look for the Phillies Nation trivia question of the week, too!

In the final segment, we break into the “Guys We Despise” Top 10. It’s another edition of Phillies Nation TV!

The PN Crew is joined this week by David Hale of the Wilmington News Journal to discuss the Phillies and the opening of Free Agency throughout baseball. The obvious topics of discussion are Rollins, Madson, and Oswalt.

We also get into some “Reader Comments” taken from our Facebook page. Check to see if yours made it into the show. And we check in on some of the other names out there in free agency and if they are a true fit for the Phillies.
