Road Trip to Baltimore

The opportunity to see one of baseball’s finest ballparks, the original throwback at Camden Yards, does not come around often. This year we have plenty of chances to see the Phillies play the neighboring Orioles in an interleague matchup. You can come down just for 1 game or stay the entire weekend. Plus there are bus pick-ups at three different locations around Philly.

Wifflepalooza 8

Wiffle Palooza VIII will be held on Saturday June 16th in Aston, PA.

Back in the summer of 2005 a bunch of us decided to start a wiffleball tournament just for fun in a friend’s backyard. We had about 5 or 6 teams. Well a couple weeks before the tourney, a dear close friend of ours, Ray Withelder was victim to a fatal car crash. So what we decided to do is charge $25 per player and start a scholarship fund for 2 Sun Valley athletes, 1 male and 1 female and call it the Ray Withelder Memorial Scholarship Fund. Well that year I think we raised about $200. So we said let’s try and make this an annual event and start asking around. Needless to say the following year we had 16 teams, with 4 fields going and we raised close to $2,000. The following year we had about 35 teams with 8 fields and raised almost $5,000. We are now in year 8 and have raised over $15,000 total

Start:June 16, 2012 12:00 pm
End:June 16, 2012 5:00 pm
Venue: A ball field
Address:
Aston, PA, United States
