Sometimes you might find yourself in the unfortunate situation of not being in the Philadelphia area during Phillies game. The information below will help you track down your local Phillies bar wherever you might be. The bars range from hardcore Philly joints complete with authentic cheesesteaks to the local watering hole that is frequented by Phillies fans. If you have suggestions for a place we should include on the list, please send us an email or leave a comment below.

Beth, I know’s it’s not in the city but if you’re willing to go across the river, Mulligan’s on 1st street in Hoboken is full of Phillies fans.

I went to Cap Lounge in DC for the NLCS-clinching game and it was pretty good overall. The volume on the TV could’ve been louder.

For WS Game 1, I think I’ll try Buffalo Billiards (right next to Dupont south station). I went there for Game 3 of the NLCS. There’s a huge screen in the middle of the bar and there were plenty of Phillies fans (~15) vs. 1 asian Dodgers “fan” who was oh so happy for their asian pitchers.

    Beth-

I’m not a fan of Wogie’s, and you’re right, it’ll be packed. I called the Town Tavern. As of today, they’re not accepting reservations for the game on Saturday. I’m thinking of making reservations at Blondie’s (either west or east-side, I haven’t decided yet). We went for the combo Eagles/Phillies game (clincher vs the Brewers), and we really liked it. Plenty of space, other Philly fans around, and great wings.

Hey, Connecticut Phillie fans, where are you watching games 1 and 2? I’d like to know. Maybe I’ll swing over.

Anybody in Summit County, Colorado? I need some red-shirted companionship.

    Hey Boston-based Phans,

Despite what it says above, a Coolidge Corner Clubhouse waiter says he didn’t see any Phillies watchers in there during the NLCS. What about Champions and the Depot? Other places? Anyone?

Scott E., Did you get any responses? I’m in Portland for games 6 and 7 (if necessary). Anyone know of a place?

Hey Steve – I’d be up for Blondie’s possibly. I’m on the UES so that’s pretty convenient. Town Tavern made me mad last year for an Eagles game – made me wait in line through half of the 1st quarter even though I was over an hour early for the game.

In the highlands of scotland, watch all of the games at home on a 100″ projector screen. jamesmurphyp@gmail.com

    Alex-

I am still looking in Rochester as well. So far my best leads are the Distillery and Buffalo Wild Wings. I haven’t tried it for a game yet, but both show lots of sporting events in general. Unfortunately it seems that most people around here are Twins fans thanks to the minor league team, but if you want to try to get a group to one of those places let me know. I still don’t know too many people (let alone Phils fans) around here yet.

Any consensus on Boston? Specifically more downtown.

Beth and Steve…another option for NYC bars to watch the Phils game is Phebes on 4th and Bowery….huge bar with a few TVs and likely won’t be all that crowded at the time. Town Tavern sucks, they are more an Eagles bar than Philly bar.

    Beth-

We made reservations at Blondies, but at the UWS location. I’m on the UES too, but the other 4 people joining us live on the west side.

    Brock-

Is Phebes a Philly-centric bar, or just an ideal spot to watch a game?

I will be in Dallas all next week- anyone know a real philly spot anywhere in the 75/north tollway area to watch the WS? i know good sports bars there (McKinney Ave Tav, etc) but looking for the right spot.

    Steve,

Cool. If I don’t score a long shot in getting tix to the game, I think I’ll head over to Blondie’s.

How about Phillie friendly bars in Orlando?

Shorty’s in Hell’s Kitchen is a good spot for steaks and Philly sports in New York City. Not far from Times Sq subway stops. Go Phillies!!!

Apparently Big Wang’s @ Cahuenga & Selma in Hollywood was a Phillies hotspot during the Dodger series. Gotta figure that’ll continue thru the WS.

What did you guys think of Ventnor Sports Cafe in DC on Wednesday?

I was there cheering on the fightins at the bar. The service was great and i even got a couple of drinks on the house.

Steve, Phebes is just a big bar, sorta reminiscent of the Irish Pub on 20th and Chestnut….not Philly-centric, but good place to watch a game that should have the game on and not be too crowded until later.

My buddy and I will be in the DC area this weekend for the marathon, actually staying in Arlington. I see there is a Phillies bar listed in Arlington, Summers Restaurant. Do Phillies fans really go to this bar? Is it worth going to?

Yes, there are always a few fans there at Summers. However, for last night’s game I heard a few fans congregated at Mister Days in Clarendon. If you’re in the DC are tonight though, I’d recommend Ventnor.

Anyone going to Capitol Lounge in DC tonight (or go last night and can tell me how the scene was)? As great as Ventnor sounds, CL is much closer to my house, so it wins on a cold weeknight.

NYC folks- where is everyone headed tonight? I was at Town Tavern last night and it was decent.

is there anything going on in nyc tonite for watching phillies?

Elizabeth and Jake….really the only true Philly bar is Wogies in the West Village but that place only holds about 100 and it will be jam-packed by right after work. I might creep out to Phebes tonight to watch the game as they have a good set-up, but am open to better ideas.

    Brock and Jake-
I talked to the owner of Wogie’s (super nice guy). he said they were packed last night by 7 so you’d need to arrive by 6 to have a shot to get in. Plus it’s standing room only.
The overflow has been heading across the street to Fiddlesticks or The Treehouse. You can have Wogie’s cheesesteaks delivered to The Treehouse. I’ll either do that or Phebe’s because that’s right near my apt.

Elizabeth and Jake….I might head over the Phebes just cause its only a few block from my apartment as well. If anyone is definitely going let me know and I will keep my eyes open for you, always up for meeting more people from Philly.

Ugh, I am glad I stayed home with a bottle of scotch and watched the game instead of going out….I would have been miserable in public watching us play like a little league team

Yeah tough loss last night and we wont be able to win if we dont score any runs! Today’s another day though, anyone have plans for Sat in DC yet? Ventnor or Cap Lounge? What do you guys think the chances are that they will postpone the game?

Hopefully you guys will come back to Ventnor on Saturday it was great having all the Philly people here the last couple of nights….A Saturday night game should be a blast! Thanks everybody!

I don’t know…I think that if its really bad they will definitely postpone it prior to the start as its the WS and they have the off day on Tuesday. I am hopeful that the offense will get started back at home in familiar surroundings. But I also predicted we’d lose games 2 and 3 and win 4, 5 and 6….I hope I am wrong as I don’t think my heart can handle losing game 3.

FYI – I spoke to some friends in the Philly area…. local weather forecasters believe that they’ll be able to get the game in as the rain’s supposed to stop before first pitch.

Also, it’s official. Me, my wife, and 4 other friends are watching the game at Blondie’s on the west side. Hope to see other Philly fans there.

    Go Phils!!!

No official game-watching parties in DC will be scheduled from now on – just get your ass to Ventnor Sports Cafe or Capitol Lounge. You’ll be sure to find lots of fans in either place.

Moved to Portland, OR almost a year ago and I am still looking for a bar or anything in Portland that caters to Philadelphia fans…. Anyone? Please… I am dying out here. GO PHILS!!!

I live in Boston and I really want to go into the city to catch tomorrow’s game with some fellow fans. If anyone in the Boston area will be around, post where you’re going and I’ll likely show up!

Hey DC FANs, is it official that everyone is meeting at Ventnor tomorrow night for Game 5 of the WS? I’ve just been watching the game in my dorm but I really want to be around other fans tomorrow night.

    I BELIEVE! GO PHILS!

Is there parking anywhere near Capitol Lounge? The Metro stops running at midnight and we don’t want to miss the last innings or the post-game celebration!

Anyone in NYC feel like going out and watching the game? I have been hunkering down in my apt with a bottle of scotch and think i might freak out if I have to watch this game in 400 sq. ft. Manhattan apartment….

Same goes for Ventnor… any parking nearby there?

I’m definitely down for Ventnor, I’ll probably take the metro in and then have to cab it back (will be pricey but worth it if they win!!!!). I have no idea what parking is like in Adams Morgan on a Monday night sorry!

Any suggestions for Northern VA (Reston, Fairfax)?

Regarding parking near Ventnor or Capitol Lounge, your best luck is checking out the residential parking nearby. Just drive in circles and you should find something (I’m probably driving myself). That said, I’ve even gotten spots on 18th Street on a Saturday night, so who knows?
