Agree that Chuck’s faith is well placed. Great to see a valuation of Raul apart from the saber metrics of it all. I too will be rooting heavy for Raul!

Same combo of lackluster pitching, blah defense, and sparse hitting (except Pence) as last night. Time is now to get some baserunners on and make this not so painful to watch.

I think RickyBo is right: Phils as a whole team kinda “mailed it in” tonight. Not the right night to make the Vance/Roy Oswalt decision. Hoping for more inspiring baseball tomorrow.

I don’t think hate is the right word. I would rather not see him on the roster…maybe 40 man is OK, certainly not post season. For all the reasons mentioned, mediocre hitter, mediocre fielder. “Not that bad” is not good enough for a team that has had occasional problems producing run support for this staff. [...]
