It’s a shame that the credibility of this site, which does fantastic work editorial wise, has been 100% ruined since the day Andrew from Waldorf began posting here. I was one of the first members registered on this site when the new format/layout was created, and I used to enjoy coming here, reading the debates [...]

“If he is a 0 like last years playoffs it may sink them.”
You do realize that Ryan Howard had a .298 average and over .380 OBP in the 2010 playoffs, right?
Just throwing that out there.

Brooks, maybe the 25 BB’s to 32 SO’s he has. That’s absolutely incredible, ESPECIALLY for a Rookie. A 23 year old Rookie, too. His defense has been horrible so far, but so was Saint Utley’s for the first 2-3 years he was in the Majors. You must also be forgetting that he had major wrist [...]

Pat, nice write-up. That was a great win. It really feels like we won a game that we shouldn’t have. If we can take the Series, I’d say we’re having ourselves a really nice June, thus far. On a side note, how impressive have Antonio Bastardo and Mike Stutes been? Stutes going two innings really [...]

I’ve been around on this site for quite some time now, and I think a lot of you can vouch for that. I don’t post much, I’m a 20 year old going to College while working full-time, but I’m an avid fan of the Phillies, and that’s what I come here to discuss. I understand [...]

Greg commented on the blog post Phillies End Road Trip with Win in Pittsburgh 2 years ago
Here’s a news flash: NO team in baseball hits the ball well every day, pitches shutouts every day, has a bullpen that can be relied upon to not give up any runs, has aging players, etc. etc. I would venture to guess that 85%+ of fans of other teams would LOVE to have a GM [...]

Shut the %$#@ up, Jeff. Seriously, It’s annoying coming on here, reading good comments from everyone EXCEPT you. You’re ignorant in every sense of the word. I wholeheartedly mean the following question: Is there a way that you can just remove Jeff from the site? If not, is there a way an option can be [...]

He’s still hit, what, 3 or 4 doubles in 22 AB ‘s, Chuck P? I don’t think that’s too shabby for “Power” this early. But yeah, I assume we’ll be seeing some Dom Brown Bombs soon.

I don’t post much, but I’ve been around for years, and I’ve got to say, Jeff is an idiot if he honestly would choose Reyes over Howard. That .676 OPS away from Shitti Field looks really damn good, definitely worth over-paying for. Anyway, I didn’t come on here just to flame someone and leave. I [...]

Greg commented on the blog post Phils Sweep Behind Doc’s 14 K’s; Contreras to DL 2 years, 1 month ago
Nice to see Antonio Bastardo step up in a big way, again, along with Michael Martinez and John Mayberry Jr. Each has made a pretty good statement that they value their jobs, and each has contributed to the team, despite Mini-Mart’s forceout. A full platoon is needed in Left, and it showed today.

Yup. Kinda pisses me off when 8 hours ago, we were told he was fine physically. Though, I guess that’s just to bluff the Padres, considering it would take a day for Stutes to have gotten here. Madson closer? Stutes + Tony setup men. MR goes to Zagurski, Herndon, Baez. LR goes to Kendrick? Wow, [...]

Anyone else concerned about Contreras? According to Gelb, he didn’t have Cleats or a glove with him in the bullpen. Then again, he threw 70+ pitches in 4 days, so who knows?

Greg commented on the blog post Howard and the Bats Lead Phils to Victory 2 years, 2 months ago
Bruce, while Madson and Contreras pitched very well (I’d almost daresay I like having Contreras in the 9th more than Lidge), I think you’re forgetting the person who really kept things alive for us: Antonio Bastardo. His stuff is nasty, as long as he can control it, which I don’t think he had a problem [...]

From what side of the plate does Altherr bat? Since he’s right-handed, I’d assume he bats Right-handed.
What position did he primarily play in the outfield?

Greg commented on the blog post Utley or Cano? 2 years, 5 months ago
I can’t believe people would honestly want Cano over Utley. Utley’s been the second best player in the game, (might be just National League) the past 3 years, second to only Albert Pujols, in terms of WAR. Cano’s nowhere near that list. Utley has one poor season (by his standards), and Cano has his best [...]
