Hopefully today Cole Hamels can enjoy a win tonight, with some support from a few friends. I personally enjoyed the booing of Rollins last night, this is the person who needs some rest. What a let down when he […]

What is it with Charlie and the lead off hitter position. I think we all see that if Rollins isn’t there he lacks any luster in the game, but we need someone like Revere who can take a walk to home without […]

Fearful of being called a dummy again, I will get into the fray. The first game demonstrated where the Phillies (and us hard nosed fans) have some issues. Several fielding issues abound. But the major concern […]

Yes, I was in the City of Phila in the 80′s screaming my head off with everyone else. Yes I was in the crowd for several hours to cheer on the Team recently. Yes, I was at the game last year and when I was recovering from knee replacement I was sitting at home cheering [...]

I want to have your positive outlook but 50 years of watching this is beginning to wear thin. My Mother had a good philosophy, start out as you mean to go on. Starting this way is rough to overcome. I DO WANT THEM TO OVERCOME. My little grandson, George watches baseball and has his little [...]

Last night it was distressing to see G. Gross napping on the bench, his nap time seems to have manifested itself in the Phillies hitting. M. Thompson was “let go” due to the hitting of the Phils, but somehow that problem hasn’t corrected itself. Last year we managed to survive by having amazing pitching. This [...]

The last time I commented, I was given a royal bash when I said I thought relying on Howard, Utley and Rollins to get us out of this jam was not clearly a solution. Where oh, where is the hitting. Infielders wonderful, but someone needs to begin a game of small ball. I am a [...]

Couldn’t agree more. We enjoyed watching Valdez and enjoyed seeing his enthusiasm. Rollins, Utley and Polanco are approaching that certain age where small things mean longer recovery and always there is something that doesn’t come back fully. Last year, as we consider the injury lineup it seems Valdez was almost a full timer. It was [...]

This has been a week of struggling listening to jimmy rollins telling us his importance to the Team and watching his reality on the field. The DL, constant first pitch swinging, double play ball and the occasional world shattering hit, are causing concern. As a lead off hitter, not so good. Fielding excellent. Do we [...]

Having seen and read some of Mr. Rollins interview and comments one must chuckle at his performance since we became aware that the club wouldn’t be what it is without him. What is somewhat surprising is that the Team did ok while he was on the DL last year and this year. Everyone feels he [...]
