What do you think of a Schierholtz/Mayberry platoon? Mayberry vs lefties: .271/.317/.494/.811. Schierholtz vs righties: .287/.360/.466/.826. I think that could be a solid platoon. Of course, it depends on what we do in free agency this year. But that could be a cheaper option.

Mike Schmidt actually hit 48 home runs, not 49, for the previous Phillies home run record. Meaning Howard beat his total by 10. Sorry for my mistake. And in 2005, he drove in 63 runs, not 62.

A few that I root for because they are ex-Phillies are Thome, Abreu, and when he played, Schilling.
