It’s almost March Madness time, so it’s also time for a bunch of people to roll out ridiculous brackets on everything on the face of the Earth.
Darren Rovell, the sports business reporter at CNBC.com, has concocted his tournament of the top-64 Minor League Baseball logos. Voting is ongoing.
Among the Phillies affiliates involved in the tournament:
Lakewood Blue Claws (A) – No. 3 seed
Williamsport Crosscutters (SS) – No. 4 seed
Clearwater Threshers (A+) – No. 8 seed
Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (AAA) – No. 14 seed
And I was shocked to find my town’s team, the Connecticut Defenders (AA, Giants), are a No. 1 seed. The Defenders are in Norwich, Conn., where I live, and the stadium is in the middle of nowhere and not many people go to games. Such is life here in Eastern Connecticut.
Vote for your Phillies affiliates (when he opens voting for said teams)!
