Cole Hamels lost the battle of the league’s best lefties, giving up four earned over seven. And his offense wasn’t much better; only Chase Utley and Greg Dobbs were able to power the offense.
Today it’s Jamie Moyer’s turn, and he must bring forth a solid start. Oliver Perez is the Mets’ starter, and the Phils need to be patient with the usually wild arm.
Mets fans will be in droves at today’s game â for us going, let’s be nice. We can talk when we win today.

Your gameday beer: It’s an important game for the Phils, who really need to win this series. So grab an important beer â like a blueberry ale. Important you ask? It’s an important kind of beer because not many brewers try to tackle it (it’s very New England-centric), and so we’re still looking for the standard. That said, Atlantic Brewing Co.’s Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale isn’t a bad choice. It’s mainly a standard amber ale with blueberry tastes lingering. Not great, but not overpowering, and that always helps. Have it with a grilled chicken sandwich and some fries.
Go Phillies!
