Benson To Start For Clearwater Monday

David Murphy is reporting Kris Benson will make his first official rehab start Monday for the Clearwater Threshers. He’ll face the Tampa Yankees.

Benson is expected to throw 75 pitches in the game. No timetable is yet expected for his return to the Major Leagues. Monday, by the way, is June 2 â€” his contract states if Benson isn’t on the Major League roster by June 1, he can leave the team and exploring other options.
